It was a pretty good manga with a good concept, art, and fight scenes. The plot is rather lacking, but it was tolerable until the antagonist revealed that . As a troper, I can't give any rating other than a 1 because of that.

Bleach is a amazing series and without a doubt as good or even better then Naruto when it comes to both the anime and manga. The anime has a filler that went on for a year that pissed me off but other then that its quite good. BUT because of the latest chapters (421) I have been dsappointed...But I am still a fan.

no character developement, cliche plot,bad joke,shallow superficial story line boring as hell...can't belive i wasted my time on this..there is basicaly no point in this manga than to the main character(s) to become stronger..

resume: omg got to become stonger to beat the bad guy...bad guy defeated...omg an another bad guy...got to be stronger -_-'' it goes on and on like this

and if you think I'm saying this because I didn't read it properly, wrong I read almost all the chapters out, and I watched the anime..that's why i wasted my time, I hate when a story is filled only to be longer..why can't every chapters be good insted of 5/100..

I don't think its dragging...Well even if it is, I don't mind if it drags some more. I don't want to say goodbye to the characters, they're so well developed. When 1 of my most favorite character dies, I don't lose interest in it because there are still other favorite characters. Bleach is that type of manga, it appeals you because it successfully build a wide range of characters with a wide range of personalities.

This manga is really good. The story is really interesting and there are so many likeable characters. Not only is the story good but it's setting is really interesting . The fight scenes can be long sometimes but as others have said it's a shounen manga so not an uncommon thing to happen. If you watch the anime just skip over the filler seasons because they are absolutely terrible.

I LOVE THIS MANGA/ANiME
People are putt-off by this manga or anime due to the fact of the INCREDIBLE amount of Episodes and chapters ( im surprised myself) and the plot/s drag on and on and on. But these people are making a huge mistake. Bleach has its ups and downs within its plots.Anime; Begining is FANTASTic. Middle Season is msotly Like a FILLER but arund epsiode 300 (before and after) is simply "OH MY GoSH!" WOW thats completely unexpected" . The characters develop great leaps and the art is fantastic. Must Read and it will (Literaallly) Last you a life-time. Hope it never ends (i bet people are saying "hell NO!") XP

I really liked Bleach in the beginning. It had good designs, interesting and well differentiated characters. But there has been virtually no character development. It really had a chance before the Soul Society arc and right after it to slow the pace up and develop these really interesting characters. However, it just became one power-up after another and one endless fight which becomes boring after a while. To say "oh, its shonen what do you expect?" Is a lame excuse. I'm not looking for Shakespeare here, just give me a little bit of something to work with. I really wonder how much of its development has been affected by the requirements of the anime. Maybe its gotten dumbed down, because the anime requires a fight in every episode to keep its younger audience interested?

Anyways this is a decent series that had the potential to be great, but maybe it got too commercialized too quick.

i dropped it 2 years ago, but because of a good beginning, i still have a bit expectation of it.

Bleach was good up until the end of the Soul Society arc. From then on it started dragging on and becoming repetetive with Orihime getting traded in for Rukia in HM. With the arrancars acting as mere characters filling in for the gap between the SS arc and the final battle against Aizen, there's really not much more to say about Bleach. It has long, dragging fights, a standard shonen main character, almost no character-development what-so-ever. It's like they're alive because they're there, with no feel, emotion and in most cases nothing in particular that sets them apart.

At the end of the Soul Society arc there was a major twist in the storyline, but after that it just became predictable, with so many plotholes it almost looks like a Swiss cheese, and powerups making characters look like bugs, gundams and what-not, Bleach has just become much worse than if it had downright ended after the SS arc, right there and then. Now it's not even worth anyone's time, and nothing I would ever recommend anyone with the slightest mental capacity of reading/watching.

i really love bleach. I agree with the person who said it's not going to win any awards if you want something with substance read a book. Bleach is a shounen for goodness sake. It has a good story line if you're patient, the fights drags on about fights but I can say that for many shounens. The characters are very likable and funny. One of the best things about Bleach i think is the alternative universe that the author created. Good read.
