...but you kind of need to put your brain in a different gear to see why. This is a series of slices of life of adults, involving the strange messes that adults can get themselves into—some with weird elements. It's kind of like the old "Twilight Zone" series that I think most everyone has heard of, but with situations that could actually happen. A few weird tales, mostly realistic slices of life.

Good art, good concepts, good storytelling (but at least one of the stories has to be read very carefully to understand what it's really saying). Several of these were memorable. The last one made me cry.

Well i mean, it was very okay overall to me.

Sure half of the stories are completely bonkers but meh.. i digress

That last story really spoke to me tho.. deep philosophy comparing one's life to a free-floating fish during a fatal migration.. very beautiful and made sense 11/10

There are only a very small handful of women artists who can create a genuine male demographic manga. Haibara Yaku is one of them.

"Into the Woods" is an interconnected story between different characters that shows a POV part of their life and their desires in life. As a story, the manga is interesting in that it doesn't follow one character around but a whole bunch of characters to create a collaborative story focusing on one theme.

As an art piece, the manga is a failure for it doesn't try to draw anything meaningful out from the story. It is like a portrait without its landscape, a statue without a shadow, a fishing pole without a hook. It is just a story that you read to past time and doesn't mean anything to you personally.

OMG. I don't know which of these stories freaked me out more. Whether it was the first one with the pedophile that re-encountered his 'victim' when she grew up or the story with the weird man that likes to wrap himself up in snakes and get fondled by them.
Creepy as hell!
