Well I enjoyed this. There's a lot of hot kisses (which is always good) and the characters are all endearing. Satori & Asao are so head-over-heels in love with each other that it just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy ^__^
For me the best part of the whole novel was Satori's dazed thoughts during their first time XD
The second story "Hold Me Tighter" is packed full with misunderstandings and insecurites, though it was understandable why they both got to that point so I didn't dislike either of them for being a bit dim.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Besides I was really pleased that Asao was faithful right from the start, even before they became friends. Despite all the stuff with his past and so on, his complete devotion to Satori was just cute beyond words <3

I also particularly liked two of the side characters, Fujisaki & Nakamoto, I would've loved to read more about them -- especially as there are some heavy hints about their relationship towards the end.
All in all this novel has got really cute characters (uncool Asao is adorable hehe) with hot sex scenes, and most of all it won't leave you with a broken heart :]

For a light BL yaoi novel, I found this fun to read and the kisses were more than hot, they were on fire! I love it when two people kiss in novels because the author goes in full detail of how it feels and you never get tired of reading those scenes. I did enjoy this novel.

it starts out well enough, and the kissing scenes are great, very erotic. but then the author strays onto the worn down, lazy route of using stupid misunderstandings as a plot device. yeah, you allegedly love this person beyond everything; you want to build a life together; but the first time you see him with another person unknown to you who seems to be on familiar terms with him, you withdraw, doubt him, and pout/angst? oh, please. that's not much of a love then, is it. this always ticks me off because it makes me start to dislike the characters for being such idiots, and that spoils my enjoyment. hello! how about extending the beloved a little goodwill? yeah, yeah, i know; some people really are this stupid in real life too, but i don't have to like it.

luckily not everything is misunderstandings; some is insecurity -- and i can buy that much more easily because, heck, who isn't insecure when they don't know each other all that well yet. especially when the beloved seems to have a seedy past, which now comes to haunt him in the form of a sharp-tongued former lover. there's also some actual growth happening for the characters (well, mostly to satori). i also like asou when he's dorky.

it's not great, but it's above average for BL novels (i know, that's not saying much). the translation is good, and wow, somebody copy-edited this book!
