The kingdom of Gulba is racked by rebellion against its young prince. A special guard has been formed to protect the realm against the rebels. They are led by Captain Carla, the Beast Tamer. And her "beast" is tall handsome Hazel, her aide and bodyguard--and the only one she trusts. Vowing to avenge her father's death at rebel hands, Carla rescues Hazel from a circus to raise and train herself. The rebels have stepped up their attacks, there's a traitor in the guard ranks, and now Hazel is acting strangely. Can she really trust him after all...?

Kaichouwa Maid sama! LOl.. specially Carla.. her expression at the last page was so much like Misaki. Apart from that, very sweet and charming.. i want a dog like that.. CHHo cute!
Great for a one-shot. I really liked it. It was sweet and simple. I like it when the main characters seem very pure and kind hearted (but not in a mushy kind of way). The only minus i would say is that the main girl wasnt really that strong. She had high rank but when trouble came she seemed rather weak.. but still it was good overall. I'm just sad this isnt a series

I love this story, it's such a cute story and I love the relationship between the two main characters (especially their past, I loved the flashback!) I only have one problem with the story... Carla is a strong female, she has proven herself superior and is now in charge of her own force, she can obviously fight, she has knowledge on battles and tactics and she's not afraid to go into the thick of things... how come she ends up being a damsel in distress?

I very much hope that this story wasn't really just a one-shot. The plot is fairly interesting (albeit predictable, but this is a shoujo), and the heroine isn't at all the usual doormat/girly-girl found in shoujo mangas--she literally kicks ass. The art is very good, as was the pacing. While there's a lot of potential that could be mined from the story's premise, the one-shot pretty much covers enough bases that a reader would walk away from it content and happy.

its short... I don't know what else to say... I don't really like eras during war time and soldiers... contemporary times would have made it more appropriate for my taste. but it has its own charm... I guess..
