It's good, but not a traditonal type of stroy driven manga.

Our alliance is a very unique Manga, with a very Cutey cute Moe sense of art and dialogue. It's not so much a traditional Manga, but a short history of why the US and Japan are allied, how it happened, and the good will each has for the other.
The Manga is free at the website, and the first volume can be found in English, although good luck finding the others in the same. It features a good number of Cameo appearances, such as the fan favorite Army-tan from another of the author's creations.
So long as the reader recognizes that the Manga is more of a super cute history lesson, and not a traditional story driven Manga, i think readers will really enjoy it. If you have a dislike for the military, or feelings against the US-Japanese alliance, then this is probably not going to be for you, as it's very pro military, pro US, and pro Japan.
