Kimi wa pet

This is probably the best manga I have read in the last 5 or 6 months (I read A LOT of mangas). The art is lovely, specially when dealing with the complex shapes the body takes when doing modern dancing. Even though it has its clichés here and there it's not one of those mangas that are completely predictable and therefore boring.

The story is not entirely realistic (I don't know a single person that would take a human pet in) but you kind of overlook those little unrealistic bits and thoroughly enjoy the story. On the other hand, the sadness, the desperation, the loneliness, all these (and many other) strong human emotions are depicted in a most realistic way; I have been in several situations like the ones that take place in the manga and felt exactly the same way the characters did.

I absolutely recommend it and (unlike many people here) don't think the ending was rushed, it took the necessary time to develop and wrap up everything nicely.

Really dis manga is soo original, not many cliches except da ending which wasnt that good. There were some really great moments in dis manga. Dre were sum chapters tho which felt like fillers or like not connected to the overall plot here. Sometimes author tries to be too smart and dat ruins things, but otherwise da concept is good, and drez not really any smut here which is good. The realtionship between Momo and Sumire is soo unique, funny and refreshing and was the real highlight of dis story!!

I've been putting off this manga forever and I finally gave in and started reading it. I must say, I'm totally surprised. I love it. I love how it deals with sexism in everyday life, especially the work place. Something I can totally relate to. I haven't finished yet, but I felt like reviewing.

Great series, the drawings are so nice and the characters have personality. For me the end though was just...it left so much want for more.

I watched the drama of this a few years ago, and i thought it was okay. Then i heard it was a manga but when i checked it out i thought it looked cheeky. Few years later on a whim i decided to read it. The drawings bugged me like other readers, but as you read on, the artwork grows on you and you understand how to appreciate it.
Kimi wa pet is a great josei manga, with lovely characters. I especially loved Sumire and Momo, as they are very realistic. It made me laugh, cry, smile and feel anger. A very in depth realistic and beautiful manga. The only problem i had with it is that it gets draggy at a point, moving at an extreme slow pace and then the mangaka jampacks everything into the last volume! i wish she would have evened out her pace more so the ending could have a natural pace..it sort of ruined the beauty of the manga with having a rushed and cliche (bit) ending.

Pure Satisfaction

Long ago, a person (not me of course) happened to adore Matsumoto Jun. This person (not me) went to watch every single dorama (j-drama) he starred in and happened to land on the series called Kimi Wa Petto. Oh man. That person became addicted to the series, watching it nonstop for an entire 2 days without sleep. After it ended, that person found of that "GASP. IT WAS ORIGINALLY A MANGA?!". The person ravished Google and scoured the depths of the internets to read Kimi Wa Petto. That person thinks that Kimi Wa Pet (also known as Kimi wa Petto) was the best josei manga that the person has read.
But of course, that person is not me. After all, no one would be dumb to watch Kimi Wa Petto for 2 days straight and go hunting in 5 different bookstores to read it in book format... Right?

Sumire is defiantly one of the most realistic characters I have ever come across. This might just because I have almost the same personality she does, and my defense system is the same, but yeah.

I didn't try this for the longest time because it sounded perverted, which I wouldn't really mind, but I just didn't feel like reading this type. Then, I was super bored, and had it recommended to me. I was very glad I picked it up.

The art is really nice, and the characters all very human and realistic. I defiantly recommend it.

It was pure accident a couple of years ago. The manga looked and seemed perverted to me. I was thinking....sheeesh! A workaholic and older woman decides to have a young boy as a pet...geez. BUT Im glad I went through and decided to read more chapters and found it to be a very sweet and delightful love story. Its not some shoujo manga that sometimes tends to repeat itself. The relationship between Momo and Sumire is not melodramatic and I find that their decisions and situations have a real tone on it. anyway...that is my own personal opinion. One of the best josei manga Ive read and well...own.

A female targeted manga about a boy (that appears homeless) who is taken upon by a young attractive office worker that has had a number of unfortunate events recently taken place in her life. At first, it's a comedic twists of events that are intended to attract and entertain the reader, but slowly it gets in a complicated situation, and even a reversal of circumstances... But unfortunately, to me the ending wasn't what I expected at all, despite the cliches. While I was reading the fourteenth and final volume I was expecting more than the simple plain, happily after ending... I wasn't expecting anything grand, but just a continuation from the "happily after ending" where the protagonist and his/her companion can live a cheerful, fun life, with perhaps children, and even more (like a pet dog biggrin ). Now that would be ironic and end on a really happy note. Also, on another note, while reading this, beware of some very heart-rendering moments where you might feel like you might want to kill something, thus I personally would recommend to read something light and cheerful like Yotsuba or sad and warming like My Girl (Sahara Mizu) in-between those times. Or, better yet, read the whole thing in one shot and in one-day.

i started reading after i read these reviews and then I couldn't stop. Aaaah it really is worth a read! You might think the cover looks perverted or something but their relationship is actually very pure and sweet... he's like her puppy but at times there are glimpses that she may have feelings for him. So far everything's progressing slowly, but in a peaceful, steady way, not in a boring way. It's sad and heartwarming at the same time, and of course there's cute humor too.
