Gosh I love this mangaka

This is only the third work from sensei that I've read, but no more is needed for me to confirm her as one of my favourites. I just love her witty sense of humour which reflects really well in her characters, the dialogues and even the artwork, as strange as that may seem. A really well-rounded package if I dare say so.

This manga is no different from the one it was based on, Koi made Hyakurin - a fun, entertaining yet very heartwarming read, and I strongly recommend everyone to try that one out as well. It's more light-hearted and silly while this manga is a tad more serious; which again I have to give props to the author for incorporating comedy with drama so well; those two genres don't always go together. Till the end of the manga it's just impossible not to root for the main couple and their somewhat clumsy love. Too bad sensei couldn't draw the cover art as well as she could've AGAIN - Koi made Hyakurin suffered the same fate lol.

cute...but muddled

the characterization in this manga is hella confusing. It might be the translation or the plot that seems to jump around between flashbacks and present without much transition. I read this manga because I wanted to know more about this couple that blew me away in the previous manga. Reading this just left me confused as to how exactly they came to love each other. One fell in love at first sight, it seems, while the other did because...there was nothing else better for him to do? I wish the characterization was more clear and the chemistry between the mains more palpable and believable. I still like both couples and like them together, but the change in their dynamic is jarring. one moment the rich one is a stalker and the other is trying to avoid him, the next the lawyer is seducing the other guy and he's resisting? I need more consistency from this manga.

Still cute, though! Aside from the jarring characterization, it's a cute story.

The preface part that has been scanlated leaves a strange impression - the black haired guy is more or less likable, the white haired is a jerk, but your interest is picked because the topic the mangaka chose seems really unusual. The art is nice, neat and believable, and I reeeally want to see what happens next.

Different in Good Way!

The Seme is Rare Gem! His Face is already Great, and his Personality is just GOLD! His dedication toward his Uke is AMAZING!!! Earning all Money for His Future Lover!!! Being so Understanding and Patient even when he was complaining and upset, which is understandable, because how his Beloved's Worst Personality and all. He was just So Amazing even with his Flaws and all!
But even if the Uke has bad characteristic, I could not hate him at all. His reasons being that kind of character was explained well and makes sense. And when he almost did bad thing, he didn't in the end. His worst personality is easy to be expected because he was surprisingly easy to read by his expression and all. The Mangaka really did Great Job at showing his feelings. His flaws is A LOT but that's what makes him somewhat Hilarious to me and Sad at the same time.
I'm Really Loving it!!!

The art is simply astounding. I absolutely love this type of artistic style. And the characters themselves are also one of my fav types. AMAGAKURE Gido-sensei always really does an excellent job in showing the characters personality; I couldn't stop kyaaing. And #Glasses and #Falling in Love at First Sight are what I live for.
I really would have given this a ten but there's some inconsistency in the narrative structure? or was it only me who felt that way?
I constantly had this feeling that I am missing a page or two in every chapter. So much so that I even went to three different sites just to make sure there wasn't a problem with the copy uploaded. The transition from one plot development to the next was disjointed and poor.
Ah, but THE ART. Truly beautiful.

I... I can't really describe how I feel about this title. I guess it shocked me. I haven't - and so far don't - read much yaoi, so I wasn't expecting to stumble upon something so good so quickly. I want to call this a gem, but will avoid doing so due to my lack of experience with the demographic. Anyways, while I normally do my best to review works I like objectively, for this one I'll just state how I feel about it:
I loved it. I don't know exactly what it was about it. At first I didn't like it. It was so dark, and I thought it would be one of those works that tries to be all deep and dark and touching but fails miserably and just comes off incredibly shallow, but it wasn't. The characters were dark, and flawed, and human. The facial expressions were done so well - I really connected with the characters. I felt everything they were feeling so deeply that at one point I almost cried. And it didn't stay dark and gloomy the whole way, either. There were definitely funny points. And it had a beautiful ending. Overall, while I can't really word it well, I really enjoyed reading it.
And I know it had it's flaws. It's just plain illogical how Kayano strives so hard for all those years without even seeing Takao. I can't imagine anyone holding on to and striving for an unrequited love for so long without their feelings fading over time. But despite the fact that such a key plot point makes such little sense, somehow I really enjoyed the work. I don't know why.
