The mangaka is not well suited to execute it. A story set in a world that is thoroughly unfamiliar to the reader needs to be drawn clearly and in detail. This mangaka is a practitioner of that strange "floating" style usually found in shojou manga. That style is characterized by focus on the characters, with the world they're in left sketchy. In addition, there is normally no visible ground, clear spatial setting. etc., in this style. It is a style that's very wrong for any kind of science fiction. It's tiring to visually "read" such drawing.

I am going to echo Senseless's review. This manga had HUGE potential and was pretty original. Great artwork, great characters, great setting... but far too short and a lot of questions have been left unanswered. The manga could have easily been spread across 30-40 chapters with more detail and depth, and been perfect. Sad to see such a beautiful story end so quickly!

It gets a 7 from me for the beautiful and intriguing universe the mangaka has created, as well as for the interesting human-nonhuman relationships. However, the plot makes no sense, most questions are left unanswered and the manga's huge potential is completely wasted. The translation itself is quite bad so it makes the whole thing doubly frustrating. Too bad, cause I loved the universe, the characters and what they could have been.

I really like this manga! It's light for a large part of it, but also hints at much darker things and has a few chapters that made me sad, but not in a tragic "I-never-want-to-read-this-again" type of way. I adored how Roy blushes. XD The last page made me very happy haha. I really recommend it and hope you enjoy it!

(BTW, I loved the flying fish, as well. Flying fish are definitely one of my favorite parts of fantastical stories.)

I loved this series. Loved it! The art was crisp, clean and stylish. I liked the characters designs and the general backgrounds and themes. I also just enjoyed the subtle romance between the characters. It had some dark drama but was shadowed by all the pretty art and the kind moments.

I don't read shoujo...except for this manga. I was itching to know how it was going to end and that kept me hanging on, waiting for chapters, however, I was a little disappointed with the abrupt ending. I at least expected a kiss *sigh*

This is seriously underrated and, now that it's finished, I highly recommend reading this. You'll get some funny, cute moments mixed in with some serious scenes handsome drama. All 'n all it was fun and enjoyable.
