Meh...?

I read a bunch of the mangaka's other oneshots before reading this, and I was expecting a short, but very smart, cleverly written story. Something that would really make me think deeper on many different levels. However, after initially reading it, I felt kind of disappointed... The story wasn't bad in itself, but it was very... normal, to say the least. Maybe I'm trying to read into meanings too deeply, or I'm missing a piece of the puzzle, or it doesn't have a deeper meaning in the first place. Who knows.

Not related, but as always, I like her unique drawing style.

This mangaka is known for her surreal art and stories, so I was very surprised to come upon a slice of life comedy in a school setting. The art is a bit plainer, but it goes along with the story. Some of the lines made me laugh out loud and I was grinning by the end. They are such a mismatched pair, yet they oddly suit each other. I wish I could read more about their "interactions" in the future... Hmm I guess I will just have to make up some scenarios for myself wink I think it's amazing that an 8 page one-shot can be so memorable!

I thought it was a really interesting oneshot given the small number of pages it had. There's just something nice about it. But I don't get why it looks like two different people drew the cover.
