Interesting.

I actually love how this manga shows just how calculating and nasty people can be. As well as how naive and ignorant people are.
Someone said earlier that this manga deviates from normal logic, however I find that it only deviates from normal manga logic.
Normally in manga, it'd be guy meets girl, guy falls for girl, guy does everything he can to get with girl. However this manga took the route of guy meets girl, guy falls for girl, girl turns out to be a conniving bitch. Without completely giving away the story of the manga, this manga comes close to reality in terms of character development.

It sort of fails in the aspect of being a manga, simply because it's captured how many people think pretty well. It doesn't go along the lines of a normal harem manga, nor does it overstep it's cynicism of how some people are. It's quite realistic in it's character development, where the main character probably won't end up with the first female to form a relationship with him. I'm not saying that this manga completely fits reality, since there are too many different cases in reality. However, it's given perception of how humans can be is quite realistic.
The story is still developing, but I'm rather optimistic that it'll get even better. I've no idea in what way, but somehow the main character's female friend will make her return to this story. That's probably what I look forward to the most.

This manga get's an 8/10 from me, only because not only do I not believe in 10/10 mangas, but also because it's definitely not a 9/10.

Of course, this may all be because of my cynical outlook on life, though I still find it to be true.

Not the usual kind.

Read the summary of the story, and take a good look at the genre list. Sound pretty usual, right? Almost straight out of an eroge or something.

Suddenly, surprise! A few chapters in and suddenly this is not the silly antic-filled romance plot you were expecting. Instead you're gonna find yourself reading something that feels eerily similar to all the crazy drama, strategics, and deception from reality shows like Big Brother without the quirky challenges, and yet it's not as dumb. Perhaps it's because the objective is not money but actual love, a far less materialistic desire and something that allows for more empathy.

Definitely pulled in my interest almost immediately after seeing how very very different this series is from my initial expectation. Here's to hoping the story keeps this kind of pace.

Fair warning

If you think will be your average harem manga with a cute futuristic matchmaking aspect, you're wrong. We're seven chapters in, and so far the development definitely took me aback. It's pretty interesting, and pretty hard to predict the outcome, which is generally pretty obvious in this genre.

If it doesn't deteriorate over time, this'll definitely become a solid manga.

Edit: well, it did deteriorate. Author gave a total troll ending, and characters end up with people they don't love. Can't say I recommend it, lol.

Sure I don't like it too stiff,

but i don't like it too fluid either, the characterization, I mean. Along the ride, you will find that characters' trait is so difficult to guess, their response often deviate from logic, and not in a good way. There are some problem in phrasing, in mimic, and in gestures as if characters hasn't condensed enough during the planning. It leads me into an agreement with Ibleda's comment below, "The mangaka probably lacking experience,"

Interesting. Just not very good.

Indeed, it's actually logical if you detached initial character design. But you see, that bitch at first are designed to be a sincere, down to earth, woman. But in later chapters she suddenly change her behavior, it's as if she has second personality! This is what I call characters being too fluid; there is no bound within initial character design to restrict their behavior. Personally, I think it's just fine if this oddity happen only in one character, however in recent chapters, this abrupt-change disease plagued almost all the characters. Hence my opinion.

Debut work prob?
by Ibleda

Well, it seems like one of those original ideas as debut work, and it probably is considering this being the only manga listed under Ochiai Hirokazu.

The story is interesting and original, though I do think there's some problems here and there, and a bit underdeveloped. It's certainly not your average run-of-the-mill, but honestly... I dunno, it's not mangaish enough? Paired up with the art, I simply can't say that it's the best.

Like I said, art isn't all that good. Although it's acceptable and above my bottom line where under that point no matter how good the story is I just can't read it, the expressions are well... a bit stiff and forced, those arms look kinda out of place sometimes too. I wouldn't say it's absolutely horrible, but below the average line. Honestly, I believe the art is a huge down point and more or less affecting the way I look at the story.

All in all, interesting manga, worth reading. But I wouldn't necessary call it a "good" manga. I suppose with one manga out that makes him/her a pro... but the word amateur nearly slipped out more than once =/.

Edit: Okay... it's original alright. But I got pretty bored by 11 chapters. Started looking dumb instead -.-;;. I'd say it's something to do with the mangaka lacking experience. It's too bad it couldn't keep the quality, or should I say, the lack of quality from the start gets a bit unbearable for me by 11 chapters. The art is as bad as always, and the story... well... should I say it's predictable or boring?

Is it finished?

Its been a good read so far, unusual. I'm not entirely sure why there is so much backstabbing in this, even if some people are like that. Based on the fraction of people like that in the manga, its almost like the author believes that most people think self first, others later.

P.S. I see that the serialization finished for this, but it still says it is ongoing. I just want to know if it has been canned or not.

I like these Game-Show type Manga

The art is a little bit sloppy, but the premise is quite interesting. I like the structure of these game show type manga, because it allows the mangaka to impose rules on its characters that make logical sense for them to follow. Within the constraints of these rules we get to see conflicts and plots emerging (you'll see what I mean in Ch 6).

As of Ch 10, this is a very interesting manga. And it is NOT a typical harem. Let me get this straight. You should check this out.
