I particularly enjoyed this manga,

Perhaps you might need a bit of knowledge about the go game to enjoy it though.. i'm not sure, but since i love this game, i was really into it

compared to hikaru no go, i felt this manga to be more profound and interesting when it comes to the philosophy of the go game..

a great read!

Rushed ending but good overall

This would have gotten a higher rating from me had it not been for the last volume where the story moves so fast that you know the mangaka was told to shut it down. I was really into it up until that point. For a rushed ending though, it wasn't bad, just wanted to see it go longer and end more naturally.

And for the person below me who gave it a 1, save ratings that low for truly horrible manga. Not everyone knows how to play Go. If the mangaka wrote it so that you have to go learn how to play the game before you can enjoy it, do you think it would sell?

not worthwhile

I was initially looking forward to reading this because I really enjoyed Hikaru no Go AND I play Go for fun. So, shojo-version of Hikaru no Go, right? WRONG.

I dropped reading in the middle of ch. 5.

The main reason being that the heroine isn't interesting. She's a standard absent-minded tween, with a standard motivation and back story. Despite wanting to be a pro player, her Go skills seem amateur-ish at best (or else, the mangaka has no real interest in the game, because the board positions/depictions are WEAK SAUCE).
So, I find it increasingly difficult to read chapter by chapter. There's too much hand-holding when they talk about the gameplay (really, they need someone to explain capturing the stones? you literally learn that the beginning) and the side characters they've introduced so far are either boring or generic. It's not worth reading for the romance aspect, right now.

Hikaru no Go was waaaaaay better. I might have set my standards too high

I love Maorie Satoshi's art and stories in general, but this one is interesting because it doesn't focus on the doki doki or attraction portion of a romance as much as the connection and joint interest... both characters are depicted as strong sexy determined types and that's never not enjoyable! Hope it develops in an exciting way without inundating us too much with Go jargon coz I honestly get lost inside it.

Here,at baka-updates,it says that the female lead,Waka, is 15 years old.But while reading the first chapter of this manga,it says that Waka is 13 years old. I want her to be 15 instead of 13.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
It'll be 4 years gap if she's 13 -_- and I don't want that since the romance in this seems good...
