eye candy, heightened reality, truly a oneshot of the shoujo demographic

Same as what Utsukushii Yume said. To add to her comment, the MC girl watches from across the window her crush being in cahoots with the school nurse (they're not having sex or anything but they are talking with each other "clearly in love"), while this younger schoolmate male character comes up behind her and gets all up in her space suddenly and it's totally shoujo moment beautified and the MC is like "you are way handsome are you a figment of my imagination" and he responds "yeah mmhm im the devil on your shoulder" suave and smooth-like, and it's a casual love triangle type feeling from there.

I too have a problem with the two boys being hardly distinguishable because their personalities are the generic there-to-look-pretty types, but more importantly this entire thing shouldn't be mistaken for anything other than imaginary utopian the day in the life in heaven, an exaggerated recollection of a girl about something that happened or she wished had happened in a much more fantastic/fulfilling way. i suppose some just want eye candy that doesn't require much thought from time to time and that's fine too, but I wouldn't go into this without knowing what it is. it's a heightened reality where everyone is pretty, truly a oneshot of the shoujo demographic though this is just a personal opinion when i say it's not to my interest anymore.

If you're in the mood for shoujo ambiance and are okay with casual love triangles and younger male older female hints and have got 5-10 minutes to waste, go for it.

When you see this in the book store....

When you see this in the book store you can read it. Its not a painful read. It wasn't interesting to me, and I zoned out while reading it a few times, but it is short and if you have about 5 - 10min to spare while waiting for someone, it is better to read instead having a staring contest with the shop owner.

My nitpicks: All the males strangely look the same. The heroine called him a devil often for no real reason making the story more a "tell" with none of the "show" (meaning show & tell with no showing).

Overall my rating for the book means: Its not bad, its not good, it's there.
