This is a boring light novel to read. The premise is simple, (immortal) boy meets (killing-fetish) girl. Together, (immortal) boy and (killing-fetish) girl explore their own feelings for themselves and for others amid (murder) hijinks.
Should be a recipe for a slice-of-life with murderous hijinks series right? Well no. The story bogs itself down with shallow debates on the ineffectiveness of the judicial system and the general apathy of citizens these days. Instead of focusing on the boy+girl relationship, it spends most of the first light novel talking about and setting up the background for the not-so-interesting murderer-vs-murderer climax. As if that wasn't enough of a killjoy, the last chapter is effectively a lecture on the need for government to be able to illegally act unilaterally for the greater good.
If you're young and new to legal philosophy, read this. Theres only 1 volume translated (so far) and its an easy read. If you're older and read the newspaper/watch enough national news to be able to quickly skim articles, avoid this like the plague. It is quite boring and immature in its theories.
