Definitely twisted, yet some how I like all the characters anyway. I can't support them on a moral level, but there's this strange fascination to see how their messy relationships all work out, that will keep me coming back to check the updates. Not for innocent yaoi fans.

Complex, smutty and exciting

A main character doesn't always have to act the way you like him to, but he has to keep the story interesting, and this manga does it quite well.
The characters are messed up, somewhat psychotic, full of problems, looking for love,... they're complex and not all that innocent.
I like how twisted it's all is, and it doesn't come out right away.... you have to keep reading to understand each character's motivation to act the way they do.
I really love how the love polygon works out, one character being secretly in love with another, and so on, but my peeve with this (always) is that people just don't tell each other how they feel straight out. But then again, if everyone just straight out told the person how they feel for them, we wouldn't have volumes over volumes of sweet heart tearing yaoi drama!
Yes, I don't particularly like some of the characters, they act foolish, careless and hurtful.
But nevertheless, Tsubaki, Tsumugi, Toudou and Yotsumi are all well thought out characters.
Tsubaki is struggling a lot with his love for his own twin brother, knowing it's not accepted but not letting go of his feelings. Tsumugi is a very lovable character, weak and innocent compared to his twin, and he cannot forget about his first love even though he tries to...
Everyone has their troubles to deal with.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
There's also a new character, Yuuki Ibara, in volume 5, stirring up the whole thing a bit and becoming Tsumugi's love interest. Tsumugi does man up a bit at one point but stays an uke at heart haha. There's some interesting stuff still to happen in the remaining volumes!

The whole raping thing isn't good either BUT it does make for an interesting story here.
There's also a lot of "you're not giving it to me so I have to fuck someone else" going on.
That's just the way these characters are, they're messed up!

It's certainly not rose-colored romance here, but if you like twisted plots with messed up decisions and interesting characters then you might like this.

I will start by saying that I love Takaguchi Satosumi. This, however, is not my favorite so far. I don't mind incest(especially between twins. So sue me. Haha) so that was not my issue with it, instead my issue is that it's offensive. This guy(and really, both of them) is a straight up predatory rapist. I have trouble just getting over something like that. The rest of the story is sort of a giant mess and I have no idea what could fill four whole volumes more than what I've read. That said, it's a pretty enjoyable mess. It is well written as to be expected and the humor is good. I got sucked in, even if overall it is pretty flawed.

Well, I am fascinated with the style of Takaguchi Satosumi and Yononaka is the best. I've read so far only the first 2 volumes and I consider it one of the most involving, captivating, amusing, COOL, manga I've got my hands on. It has a lot of Takaguchi's themes in it: gorgeous, cool and yet voluptuous guys, the ingenuous type that goes along with the flow, the dens, somewhat tragical plot re-vested in a particular kind of humor that keeps things away from triviality.

I don't understand what people are saying about all the unnecessary drama being a chore to deal with since I find that this series has JUST the right amount of it. If you want to go with believability, everything fits. Totally recing this! Def worth the look.

Don't get me wrong, I love Takaguchi Satosumi's works when she can write well. However, this series was kinda disappointing because it turned into some campy porno series. It could have been much, much more but unfortunately not. Where's the real writing, the genuine plot and so on? Instead, there is nothing but poor usage of drama, that plunges it into soap opera level.

ok, these twins have got me addicted to them! and they also have gotten me addicted to Takaguchi senseis manga XD
this series is crack, comedy, lemon, angst and a lot more all rolled up into one delectible goodie!
The only bad thing about it is that there's only two volumes scanlated and I've already taken up learning japanese so I can go on reading the other volumes ^^

Hey, do you know what's more attractive than twin hippies ambushing young men into coercive sex in public toilets? I've a long, long list.

I love Takaguchi Satosumi, and there's no denying this series really is interesting, but I can't imagine what's going into these seven whole volumes that I'd want to stick around to see. I don't mind the incest (manga, what have you done to me?) and I can ignore the rather unattractive character design choices because I love the art as a whole, but... There's a relentlessly dispiriting, ugly atmosphere I can't get over, and there's a fine line between kinky and seedy which I think maybe has been crossed, and in the wrong direction.

This is quite the twisted story but it does not put me off, i rather find it interesting. What really puts me off is all the DRAMA, it would have been better if the mangaka had kept it down a notch. Other than that is a good read, well at least for those who do not mind incestous and perverted relationships.

I've not been terribly impressed so far. I'm a huge fan of Takaguchi's work especially when she does both the story and the art. This though, I'm hoping it will get better and become more of a great drama with quite a bit of smut rather than a soso smut with a spattering of drama.
