I have mixed feelings about Shortcut Love. If I didn't know Shu Kaori was the author, I would think it was all Minase's own story because it has some of her favorite story devices: rape, angst, rivalry, and a lot of sex. What does make it clear that it's not Minase's - it's more talky than Minase's other manga. It contains background details about the advertising business and how hard it is to stay at top of the world. This is not Minase's style, which makes a refreshing change.

Shu did her best to give us a solid plot, but it didn't work well because of two reasons. Reason #1: she didn't seem to make the progress of Akino and Kurata's relationship that believable. Reason #2: problems they had to deal with didn't seem that serious nor interesting because there wasn't much tension and suspense to it. I think she failed to make us understand why it's crucial for Akino and the company he's with NEEDS the account. It was mentioned, but skimmed over. I think the balance between Akino and Kurata's relationship and their professional dillemma was uneven.

In spite of these problems, I enjoyed it because I like secondary characters and the sparring among them. I loved the extra. It's so funny.

I agree with mica363 - the storyline is decent, but there is many smexy scenes and the artwork is beautiful. I enjoyed looking at "Shortcut Love", but while reading I was a little bit bored.

When a story has such smexy scenes one has a hard time rating this any lower than a 9...Anyway, the story is pretty decent and of course Minase has a style that is very appealing.

Ah... Minase Masara has done it again! I just love the intriguing story line put forward this time... and of course the beautiful artwork! The characters just look soo good! i'm looking forward to the next chapter...
