To me it wasn't one of Yabuki-sensei's best work. I'm sure if it did become a series than maybe it might get better but a story like this I'm sure it wouldn't last as long. All I just want Yabuki-sensei to do is bring back Black Cat so we can see the rest of the Chrono Numbers in manga and bring back Creed etc but all I just want to see Black Cat give some bad luck again. HAHA
Nothing new here

Kentaro Yabuki. Black Cat, To-Love-Ru and To-Love-Ru's successor. Not to go overboard with a One-Shot, but I can't help but notice Kentaro's familiar flavour in character development. The inept, sort of timid male character 'somehow' manages his chances with the girl of his dreams. That's all fine and dandy for a shounen series, and the author definitely knows how attract his male audience, but the appeal for anything more never seems to merge well enough together.
Kentaro's take on a controversial premise gets pissed on all throughout this story. Action is Kentaro's regular excuse for most of his story-lines, and that is all. To make sure we think the author's put actual time and thought behind his stories, he adds some bells and whistles, but it fails outright when comparing much more intricate designs and thought-provoking idealism from authors who don't rely on their art to progress their series.
A decent read, I suppose for fans of Kentaro Yabuki. I'll come back to him when he learns to play ball.
