This is not a thread to talk about them, but about how often you talk about these matters, or who do you talk with about them. Couldn't really find some non suspicious name for the thread, so this will have to do.

As for me, it's not that often, but when someone drops by one of those will always be discussed. When drinking too (yeah, alcohol helps laugh ), still we try to maintain it into the reasonable limits. Never really got into a heated discussion with anyone about any of those matters.

Yeah, I know what you mean about not having heated discussions. Generally, I'm pretty accepting when it comes to other people's views, so I find a lot of my friends and classmates are often eager to talk about them with me. That's not to say I don't have my own opinions...

I try to avoid them as often as possible. Not because I have strong opinions, but rather because others do. I respect each and every person's point of view, even if I don't agree with it. However, the same cannot always be said of those other people. I find it tiresome being preached at, so I deter the topic as soon as possible.

Gah! I love them! I'd have them everyday if I could.

But people only want to talk about their opinions and they don't want to listen to others. Which doesn't make for good conversation none

As long as both parties are respectful, and the name slandering is kept to a minimum/jokes, I'm good.

I avoid them whenever i can
when it comes to this i keep my opinions to myself
specially online even if im catholic and a person starts talking bad about it, i just ignore it.. i think its silly.
sometimes i rant about politics but just in a funny way...
if someone wants to talk to me about it i wont say no. but normally i dont follow does subjects.

Quite a lot usually. I go to a Catholic school and I have a history of arguing with religion teachers when I feel as though something doesn't sound right. (Actually I purposefully pick out things I guess...) I'm a terrible person aren't I? But its so fun~! Anyways I talk Politics and everything else with my parents. If we can have a civilized conversation then I'm willing to talk with anyone. I don't like it when people only want their opinion to be heard and stubbornly stick by their idea while ripping yours down in their mind. Hahaha. You should be open to an intelligent discussion.

Ack! I try to avoid them as soon as I sense them coming! My views on the topic have always received mixed reactions, but that's to be expected. I just don't see the need to engage in a discussion that would most likely turn one-sided, and if not that just drag on longer than necessary, I'll leave my views and concerns to my self, thanks. Rarely for me. My friends and I do too much weird stuff and playing around. Plus, pretty much none of us really know too much stuff about politics.

Religion only comes up when we're confused about it.

I tend to avoid conversations along these lines. They lead to arguements, and clashing of opinions. I generally keep my ideas to myself, but when I'm asked I will tell people my opinion on them. I'm used to telling people my opinions on religion though.

Probably every day. My major deals with a lot of international issues and these subjects are frequently involved. Plus, my friends are also reasonably intelligent and relatively diverse in world views, so we can get some interesting discussions out of it.

As long as no one gets too blatantly offensive it works out fine. People just need to learn moderation, otherwise I don't discuss such matters with them.

It depends on how much news I watch, what the government is doing and who I'm talking to. One of my best friends, that's all we do is talk about contoversial issues, but I don't usually discuss with most of my friends unless they ask.
