I think it wont end until she settles things with Sho first and accepts her feelings. Do you really think he's just going to let her be happy without him? That egomaniac? Not a chance. At least I don't think so. Then again I have a pretty bad view of him.

One thing I wanted to point out, this manga won't feel like a whole if Mogami doesn't reach the top. Just saying.
If I were a betting man I would say that maybe, just maybe we are somewhere in the vicinity of the "middle of the series". If the tempo of releasing new chapters won't change "Skip Beat" should end somewhere in the year 2020. With some luck I won't get hit by a bus and Nakamura won't die of a heart attack.

I totally agree with ya. I bet Skip beat can go on for another 20volumes, its just so entertaining. I really hope I don't die cause not finishing Skip Beat would be one of my biggest regret in life And please don't let anything happen to Nakamura cause I'm sick and tired of good manga not finishing cause something happened to the magaka >.<

LOL I complety agree.
And I also think it won't end till she settles her feeling for Ren and maybe things with her mother..you know. I think it's obvious she has some unresolved issues, I just hope the author wrap them nicely lol or something...because I don't really know how I want this manga to end. And I don't know why I can picture Ren going to US for his career and them being separated for a while

Yes!!! How could I forget about that. I think that will come after Kyouko accepts her feelings for him.

What everyone said.
And rather than just "20" chapters, I agree to the 20 volumes instead. xD
She needs to resolve he problems with her mother, her feelings for Ren, Shou, she needs to become the best actress out there (lmao, but srsly.)
Other characters as well need to resolve their own problems; like perhaps Shou's feelings for her (at least say it to her, like the man that he is! But prolly only once she wins over him. :'p) That or he'll do it if there was a chance he finds out something related to her and Ren. Who knows?
Ren needs to resolve ALL his problems too. /facepalm. He has such a heavy burden. * ^*
I just hope...I don't die so suddenly, coz it will also be my biggest regrets if I never see this manga end. ; _;
And even though I'm not a believer, I'll pray to that God or Buddha or whatever that she stays healthy forever! x'D

As everyone has pointed out, the series does not look like it is nearing the end. The series is dragging but I don't see many people complaining (and if secretdesires is bored of the series, no one is forcing you to read it...). It is one of my favourite series and I am fine with it dragging out as long as it wants. All for the 2020 prediction (^_^)v
As for Sho though, I think he is used up. The series is thriving on Mogami's relationship with Tsuruga, the Kuon flashbacks and the new personas, which are all brilliant. I am dreading a new sho arc because it is just boring in comparison and there has been no change since the PV arc, which was good but should of been the end of him. If he is going to stay, he should be reconstructed and actually made into a serious character with a slightly deeper personality.
As it is though, I imagine the series will continue for a while yet, solve Mogami's continuing ignorance, elaborate on the Heel siblings and BJ act and introduce at least one or two more personas, not to mention another Sho finally gets kicked out of the manga arc.
I personally disagree with Lija-chan and Chokokun's emphasis on the ending: what is important in this type of manga isn't the ending but rather just a continuous amusing read that never stops expanding into new, interesting arcs. So ending or not, I hope I live a while longer to read as much as possible (^_ -)*

The manga can't possibly end with Kyouko obtaining her objective by rising to the top of showbizz and regaining the emotion called 'love'.
Since the Nightmare box has already become unstable in Tsuruga-san's presence; the second awakening to love may not be far off.
It also can't end before Kyouko has connected the dots about Ren actually being Kuon; and that one seems like it'll still take a while longer.
Since Kyouko is such a fairytale loving person, it should definitely have a fairytale ending when it does reach its end (which I hope won't be for a long time).
I think Kuon's father would be overjoyed to have Kyouko as his daughter in law .

I'm still hoping for a Sho x Kyoko reunion in any form, whether in their professional lives or as potential lovers/special friends.
I don't complain that Sho doesn't appear as often, because when he does, he really shakes Kyoko up.
Ren has had a lot of time with Kyoko already. Give Sho a chance!

Reading your post just caught my breath. I'm such an anti of ShoxKyoko pairing. That bratty Sho just gets on my nerve, sorry.
I agree with what everyone has pointed out. Too many things to resolve and I am not complaining one bit!! I still remember when I first started reading Skip Beat, I screamed every time a new volume was published. Haven't done that to a manga series for ages~
Anyway, as much as I dislike Sho, I agree he should appear more. Though right now they are putting Ren's past on the spotlight, I kinda want a change to Kyoko's past instead. She's still so mysterious. I have to say I'm still extremely satisfied with the Heel siblings arc though. Finally something to make me scream in happiness. I just realized I haven't done that for a while while reading Skip Beat.

1. Ren has to resolve.
2. Kyouko needs to act with Ren in a leading role.
3. Sho needs to give up Kyouko at some point.
4. Ren has to get over the whole, Kyouko is too young/impulse control.
5. Ren needs to figure out the chicken is Kyouko.
6. Kyouko needs to get a leading role. She's only gotten secondary roles.
7. Kyouko needs to expand her career beyond the dark characters she plays.
8. Kyouko needs to graduate Love Me. (though I think Ren is an honorary member.)
At least *those* need to resolve beyond the whole character arc for Kyouko. (learn to love again after being used and jilted.)

There's also the issue of Kyouko's mom that needs to be resolved as well. I'm really curious as to who Kyouko's mom is and what she does for a living. I wonder if she knows her daughter is an actress o_o or when was the last time they saw each other. Ah definitely arc worthy =D
