I was thinking of picking up this series to read, and to my surprise there is currently an anime adaptation being aired weekly in japan. I was wondering if i should just watch the anime or should i read the manga instead?

Manga! Never watch adaptations. Unless you're forced to. By men with guns. And possibly fangs and claws.

(i don't like anime adaptations. They always disappoint me. I probably shouldn't be the one answering your question. But too late).

Both are good, but personally I like the manga more. However, I chose to watch the anime since it has appears to follow the manga pretty closely so far and much faster than scanlations... ^_^;;

First watch the anime and then read the manga, if you will check both of them. But if you will pick only one, then i recomend the manga, but it's just my opinion.

A month ago I would've said anime. (There hadn't been a release of Nabari in ages)

But with the speed that these groups are releasing Nabari... You basically are free to choose. I'd say go with both. Anime has voices/music/animation, and manga has art/extra details.

You should try both. Both manga and anime has its pros and cons. Anime - music, and hey, guess what? they move!! As for the manga, yep, the art is sooo nice..

Try the anime a little bit first and then jump into the manga. For me, the anime struck my interest so well that I felt like ">.< I WILL GO INSANE IF I DON'T SEE THIS PLOT DEVELOP FASTER THAN ONE EPISODE A WEEK."

If you want to learn more about Yoite, you'll want to read the manga for sure.

From the sound of things I think I'll watch and follow the anime, and then reread the whole manga up to the current releases. This is what I did with Claymore, so I think that would be fine. Thanks for the suggestion guys.

watch the anime and read the manga and see which one you like better i personally prefer the manga only cause the adaption usually steers off course the plot and add there own stuff on it

Don`t just stick to anime, the manga is better. Especially I like Miharu better in manga than in anime adaptation. In anime he is always treated like some kinda poor child and usually can barely take care of himself while fighting. In manga he can at last provide some backup and use ninjutsu...he is definitely more likable in manga despite the fact his character doesn`t really change in both versions.
