As the title says have you?

Somehow I've only met famous people at school.
Elementary school:
During Kindergarten Barney visited our school for our annual school picnic. He was my idol back then, no joke. Next thing you know my dreams were shattered when I saw him take off his 'head'...I remember crying then out of nowhere a bunch of kids were kicking him everywhere...good times.

Middle School:
The Mets (baseball team)...yea the Mets of all people. They came as our graduation present....such a crappy gift. Funny thing is that when they came in they were expecting an applause everyone was quite...you could hear crickets...

High School:
Met Bill Clinton he came to our school to donate money for new computers I actually talked to him, benefits of being an honor student biggrin Also met Mariah Carey...don't really like her though...

i went to middle school with with scott hoch's (pro golfer) and orel hershiser's (bassball player) kids and met them quite often. i met shaq once when visiting a friend's house (turned out they were neighbors lol). i was introduced to bill mccullum (former fl congressman) through my parents (my brother and his son went to west point together). used to train with eddie taubensee, the former catcher for the cincinnati reds. oh, and once i met that guy that played mincus on boy meets world (don't laugh. you know you loved that show!)

No.
I wouldn't even know if somebody was
famous. They mean nothing to me.

Hmmm... only once when this singer came to my schl.
I met some actors while shopping before but seeing as I didn't know them (my friends had to tell me) I guess it can't really be counted.
Well, I expect to be really famous one day, so... XDD

Rocks ass

Edit: oh yeah, once i talked to scooter... a german DJ.~~

Just like Mams, I wouldn't know of them until someone tells me...

I didn't even know I was actually chatting with a famous artist from DC Comics until someone told me when he spotted me at the event...

For the record, I forgot his name...again. laugh

Went to go take my little brothers see the WWE wrestlers this Sunday. We got their autographs, and they look bigger in person (The ladies look hotter in person, too. eyes )

I also met some hometown celebrities in person (Reese Witherspoon, Tyler Perry, Anne Rice, Harry Connick Jr., Wynton Marsalis, Greg and Bryant Gumbel)

My father has, and then he told me.
Those Israeli famous people are of little attraction for me,
but my mother was excited like a little girl...
That was some actor from a musical TV drama...
Idiotic if you ask me, and he's quite plain.
...

I'm not really interested in celebrities.

I seem to havde a habit of running into famous people, mainly when I go to London. I've met (as in had conversations with) Rolf Harris twice, The Bee Gees, Alter Bridge (all 4 of them), Lulu, James Blunt, Atomic Kitten, Romeo from So Solid Crew, Hunter from Gladiator, Chris Rock, David Moyes (Everton Manger), Sir Tom Finney. That's all I can think of right now.

Met amanda palmer once, not sure if that counts.

Just walking down the street after the concert, and there she was, so we just went up and talked with her. laugh

I'm sorry, but I recognize like 4 names in this thread...

I went to school with George Bush's daughters, so I met him in passing (and them, if they count as famous... had classes with both, sat behind both, was annoyed by both)... this was back when he was Governor of Texas, though.

I also ran into a Japanese idol at a Subway in Dallas... got a picture taken with her. I forget her name, but I could look it up. Her handlers were kinda wonky little men, but she was nice enough. New meaning to 'wow, she looks like a porcelain doll'. I never realized that the phrase was actually true. She was only 15 at the time, too, makes me feel like a pervert.

I met lots of semi-famous athletes when I was little, and semi-famous jazz musicians when I was in high school... things like sports camps (UT had (has?) lots of camps where graduated athletes come back and teach during the summers) and all-state bands help in that kind of thing.

Edit: Seen tons of other people walking on the streets or buying food... Sandra Bullock lives here, as does Mathew McConaughey, and tons of others. We have film festivals that get people like Quentin Tarantino walking around downtown every year... oh, oh, I was on the Bozo the Clown Show when I was 5, I forgot that one. I won a Bozo for President poster and a giant tootsie roll bank full of little tootsie rolls. o_O;

I met Rosario Dawson (RENT, Death Proof, etc) and Tracie Thoms (RENT and Death Proof) when they came and gave an interview at my university. I got my picture taken with them and their autograph! They were so nice!

I've also met the girls of ORESKABAND when they were in the US (think "Pinocchio," one of the endings of Naruto). They were going to perform at a music festival and were having a meet-and-greet. They were really nice too! I got their autographs and a ton of pictures with them. Saki was my favorite!

My high school had a lot of famous people. The Olsen twins went there, so did the kids of Densel Washington and Andy Garcia, so I saw all of them many times. The base player from Queens of the Stone Age went to my high school too. I even performed on stage with him in a play once. The coolest though was when Mike Meyers crossed the street in front of my car. John McCain gave my mom a shoulder massage back before he ran for president....
