This always happens in long running, overly-popular, JUMP series, they keep adding lame plot twists to make the series longer and to earn more money, most likely, even in 5 or more years, Naruto will still be going on, and even if it does end, there will probably be some spin-off mangas.

No. 7 seems most likely.

This is how it should go----->

Deidara blows Sasuke up a little bit and is gonna win, but then Naruto and Sakura show up and save Sasuke. Sasuke is so grateful that he snaps out of it and comes to his senses. "I so sowwy" Sasuke Cries! And then they all go back to eat Ichiraku Ramen. The leader of Akatsuki is soooo moved by the display of affection that he gives up his evil scheme and (!!!) Low and behold reveals himself to be Yondaime. NO WAI!!!! "I'm yer pappy" He cries to Naruto and then Naruto is not an orphan anymore. The fulfillment of having a parent is so strong that Naruto is overcome with love and it crushes the evil Kyubii inside and Naruto becomes a regular ninja and marries Hinata!!!!! Itachi also goes nuts and commits Sepuku in front of the leaf village gates and Sasuke is all happy and marries both Ino and Sakura and everyone lives hapily ever after. YAY! All this happens in the next chapter.....swear!
If this wasn't fantastic enuf, someone finally makes a GOOD Naruto video game too!

Thanks Aerus..your post was very interetsing as well. i Likewise felt that Deidara's powers were stunning..it made one realize (from his 1st few battles) exactly WHY he is a member of Akatsuki...after seeing his initial appearances..I thought..interesting power--but seeing this when he cuts loose and how Sasuke now has to adapt as well as the unexpected side story of his learning to deal with Sharingan..I found fascinating..goes to show how difficult it is and why Orochimaru was frightened of him...he has enough to deal with on his immortatlity than trying to perfect a way to avoid sharingan. This manga is great! Can't wait to see Naruto's camp meet up with Snake's.

Az--Kishimoto has stated repeatedly that he has an end. I think (as we've discussed) that the plot twists have been great and inspired..likewise I might add that these have been in the cards since the beginning (we all knew since Book4 that Sasuke was going after Itachi) so I'm confused as how this 'lame' plot just came out of nowhere. What series are you referring to that have done this?? Dragonball? one Piece? Certainly Bleach as since nothing has happened in Hueco Mundo and it took 10 volumes to complete a betrayal/ master villain intro but seriously..what part of Naruto seems forced to you to extend the story? Do you know what you're saying or just saying stuff?

Good idea Vince..likewise, why don't we all talk about some of our favorite manga in it as well so that we can create some context. I hear too often 'cool' people trying to diss and compare Naruto with Pokemon which has to be one of the silliest wannabe things I've ever read. But have at the new thread...I'll be there.

Haha Pokemon is way better than Naruto! Naruto can only do Rasengan over and over. But my Chimchar can flame wheel and tail whip........j/k dead

I just don't see on any level how Bleach was a better crafted story over Naruto.

Storyline-wise Bleach is plain awful (tho' it is a different conversation). I mean all the main character's fighting styles are continually changing. But... I guess they might not change all that much... Ishida's trap he used recently was definitely a new thing for him.

Sirgir..I mean really..Naruto find a way to stick a ball into them confused Come on man...is that even an intelligent discourse?

That's what all their battle strategies boil down to. This latest fight was just a series of dodging until Sasuke could use a touch of sharigan and stab Deidara. After all that he just stabs him? Kind of a letdown.

One Piece..find how many new techniques Zoro can learn to cut something that was heretofore uncuttable (which is all kinds of ridiculous).

You don't like One Piece either? You're killing me sad

Naruto has death, betrayals and actual character growth..(hence why I can't possibly understand the critics here on Naruto..name me other shonen manga that comes close to the death, betrayal and character growth of Naruto--I'm serious name them).
uh... Claymore, Rurouni Kenshin. Although, shonen manga is rather sissy about death and betrayal, I guess those are seinin topics.

Again, I would respectfully ask you to show me where. You seem to question yourself whether you're right about Bleach and it's not a different conversation when you yourself discussed that you were being letdown by both manga. And Bleach to me is always a funny target because the same fans saying Naruto is boring or not well told seem to somehow overlook truly GAPING holes in something like Bleach. Bottom line is that I keep asking fans of Naruto to make accurate and logical arguments against it's storytelling and I get things that are illogical and in the grand scheme of manga in general just seems silly. I mean really, would you argue this about Superman or Batman (sirgir- "I mean they just punch bad guys..what's new or cool about that?")? Come on man..we're all Naruto fans..if you don't appreciate it's storytelling it's cool but I'm challenging you to truly look at it.

Dude, the arc is not even finished yet and u're attacking it? I mean how can you call it a series of dodging? There were microscopic bombs, a giant Deidara, clay bomb mines...I mean...it is amazing to me the complaints. U can't sit here (nor any Naruto critic) and even begin to suggest you saw Sasuke killing Orochimaru, saw Kabuto becoming a new threat on his own and any of the actions in this fight..to dispel it down to dodging seems again just simplistic and deceptively inaccurate. I mean I saw Transformers this week and by your logic I could say "it was boring because it was just a series of cars transforming and then fighting each other". U and most Naruto critics make it seem easy to tell a story and u're doing a disservice to the work by doing that. It's very difficult to tell a story and while it may have been a 'series of dodges' -- I can assure you it was a pretty cool set of dodges.

I'm sorry I like Bleach and One Piece..I never said I did. Read my list of manga I read..u'll see lots of stuff on there..but I am able to argue works that are really good from works that are..and Naruto is just on a league on its' own vs. One Piece and Bleach. Like them both but what they do in stories IMO is nowhere as epic and innovative as Naruto. I think because Kishimoto does it so well..critics like you assume it's easy and that's unfortunate. You forgot what made u a fan.

Actually I would completely agree with you about Claymore although it is technically for a different market than most shonen. I am speaking more of shonen. Claymore is a masterpiece IMO. Rurouni was great but it came close to cheese on a few occassions. Naruto is the only one that has truly had the balls to have major characters die, kids kill and characters betray one another with ruthless abandon. One Piece, Bleach, Reborn, Kenichi..name me a SHONEN manga...u can't. Trust me.

Hey go to the other thread. "Are our favorite MangAnimes as good as ever?"
I started it so that we can argue about this without getting off the 360 thread topic.
I left the title vague so we can bash..um..I mean duscuss any other titles that are getting better or worse than when they started

I know that this doesn't really go with what you guys are saying now, but it's against all those who think that Sasuke's going to die. I still think that he's not. And in a sense, he never turned evil. Remember the scene where Kabuto or Orochimaru tells Sasuke off for not killing any members of an army? And Sasuke just said, "He's not the one I want to kill."

Therefore, he is good, and he will live. Comedy = happy ending for the main protagonist(s).
