as much romance as shounen manga can get..

even hatsukoi limited D:?

I m guessing he meant action-shounens, because mangas like Ichigo100%, Love Hina, Suzuka are also shounen.

I don't think it will have them soon as well. If it's great like that then it's fine with me, sometimes action-oriented shounen mangas just put in romances to spice up the story, but it actually makes them weaker. I don't like it when I don't feel any chemistry between the couples or it doesn't feel believable at all.

Well I agree that Beelzebub is just fine without romance but I disagree with what you said about chemistry and not-believable romance. Ofcourse you wont find proper chemistry and what not between the couples because its not Shoujo, and you cant expect serious romance stuff from that. Its mainly done to put an end to shipping wars, like SasuSakum, NaruSaku, NaruHina, IchiRuki, IchiHime, ofcourse you wont find chemistry and stuff and proper romantuc development, its dont to just satisfy the fans and IMO its fun that way, and it does spices up the story and doesnt make it weaker because the romance doesnt effect the action in any way, usually they just show the final couple at the end, it doesnt matter how they up because its shounen and its more fun. I would rthe have the romance in shounen than the sugary stuff in shoujo

I'm not sure if I misunderstand your reply or not, but by the word 'romance' I didn't meant like those in sugary sweet shoujo mangas. What I meant is that sometimes it's just there's this girl character who get introduced because the mangaka thought "Hey! This is Shonen manga, thus it needs a cute girl character", and even without much interactions during the storyline, they suddenly get together at the end - that's kind of weird really.

SasuSaku, NaruSaku, IchiRuki, IchiHime etc. are just fine the way it is. At least they have stories together, you could believe that it's possible. (e.g. I like IchiRuki but if it ends with IchiHime, it'd still be fine with me as I can see it coming.)

Even if its abit weird, that's how it works in Shounen and there's been enough between Oga and Hilda and even Oga and Kunieda because in Shounens you will mostly get one-sided loves and some tiny hints, here and there and then it shows the final pairing, its not weird in the sense as long as its there.

... and if you don't get enough romance in the main series, just wait until the DJ's come out. Then, you'll get your romance, and ever so much more.

But doujins are rarely done by the main author/mangaka, they are just imitations done by hentai-mangakas

Romance in hentai Dj ?? more like forced sex or worse (rape)
maybe Romance as in Shounen-Ai Dj??

Except then it might as well not even be based on the manga at all, because we all know how well shounen-ai doujins preserve characters' personalities roll eyes

so far as I see it theres only one-sided romances.
then again it could change, but I don't think i can see Oda chasing after a girl ...(in a flirty/romantic way, then again that would be something amusing to see lol)
