No, I'm just giving ACTUAL legal evidence that shota/loli may get you in trouble. I don't go on hypothetical subjective moral rant, I go for pure and solid, the law. Whatever the law says is what will happen to you if you violate the conditions. There's no space for argument when the law is involved. I'm not saying you all are pedo for reading and liking shota and loli, but I am just suggesting people to better their understanding of the law and prevent violations that "may' cause them their life. I'm not saying if it is legal or not to read or own or distribute shota/loli either because each case is different and for legal matters, consult lawyers.

Anyhow, I just don't want to see anyone go to prison for something so insignificant and subjective.......I just read the book Fish and I'm a bit concerned for people with minor offenses that ends up in prison with long time convicts...

Okay, thanks for clearing up. I don't really enjoy/read loli/shota, since it's really not my tastes. IMO KnJ isn't really pornographic, though I recall on another forum someone mentioned some guy (in the US?) tried to import it and got busted by the police- I don't know if it was true or not...it has completely kept me from buying this series in Japanese, though.

I don't think that's right, the only stories I heard was someone was arrested for actual lolicon pornography along with many many other things and the lolicon/shotacon stuff was just a small bit of it. Even though the guy in Iowa plead guilty and was sent to jail for 6 months (which imo is complete bullshit because now the guy's life is in ruin and from the reports it sounded like the guy was absolutely no threat to the community in any shape or form) it turned out that he was actually protected by US Law saying that 2-D images are not real and can not charge people with child pornography.

Plus, if that's the Hanley case you're referring to, he was apparently a genuine hardcore collector of all kinds of manga, but some people say he'd previously been arrested for actual child porn, and somehow violated his parole.

was it that? All I remember is that the guy was like 39 years old, a vet of the first gulf war, had a wife and 2 daughters, went to church regulary, basically a upstanding citizen all-around.

I don't know, I can't remember what state the Handley case was in. His was the big case though.

We are not discussing the Handley case here...and no, it is not relevant to the topic.
