Hana Kimi! I had started on asian dramas (now I only watch Korean!) and saw the J drama. It was horrible, and my friend said that the manga was better. So, I tried it and it started me on reading manga biggrin Second was Fruits Basket, which is one of my favorites.

My first manga is Rave (my friend introduced it to me). And because I was so hooked into it, I watched it. That's my first anime.

Thinking back, I think after my 'Rave-mania', I became obsessed with the Japanese media. Damn. Thank you, Mashima Hiro-san. eyes

First anime: Probably Sailor Moon but I didnt think of it any differently than other cartoons at the time. I consider my first real anime to be Rurouni Kenshin and Yuyu Hakusho. Then I discovered Adult Swim..

Manga: Chobits i think? Then I read through all the manga available at Barnes & nobles at the time.. (reading while in store... I was there.. alot.. ^^)

Anime: It was probably one of the Giant Robot shows but I can't be sure which one. Either Dartanias or Arbegas. Then it was more saturday morning stuff, sci-fi channel, Toonami, Adult Swim ect ect. It was so exciting finding something back then.

Manga: I'm not 100 percent sure but it might have been Hot Gimmick. If it isn't, then it is lost to time.

first anime was Dragonball Z (the battle against cell), when I was 12, my cousin came and he wanted to watch it. It was a block of anime at some tvstation, about 5 or more hours a day and I started to watch all of the series. I even remember them: Dragonball, Magic knight rayerth, Saint Seiya, slayers, soul hunter. Then one of our tvstations started to play pokemon.... then they turned off the first station, idiots, so I had to learn german. and there played this: wedding peach, inuyasha, ranma 1/2, jeanne the kamikaze kaitou............and then they turned off that tvstation too and I had to watch viva(german too), too bad they didn't show more of anime, cause there were some good ones: angel sanctuary, hellsing, candidates for goddes, arjuna, submarine no.6.............and then they turned off viva. stupid city. we got internet after some years when I thought I'm cured of anime. but yeah, got internet.

so about manga, after watching fruits basket anime, and I liked it but hated the ending, found out the manga continues so I read the manga, still the favorite of mine. I've read some other manga's too, but only occasionally. then I came to college and had a roommate and didn't want her to know I watch anime so I better shipped to something without the volume, alas manga. and now I don't watch anime anymore because of prefferences. that's my story.

Anime: Not sure if it was Pokémon or Digimon. DBZ came shortly after. Then... Inuyasha, Yu-Yu Hakusho.
Manga: Honestly can't remember that far back. Chronicles of the Cursed Sword was among the first.

My first manga was Shiki. Although at first I didn't understand, it soon grew onto me and I started to like it. Its kinda weird because my favorite genre is shoujo. My first anime was DBZ (mostly because my brothers save their money to buy all the tapes to watch them).
