As a blackman,of course I hate racism.It's funny how there seems to be more (open) racism online.I guess some people find courage in calling someone a slur over the net.

Indeed. I always make sure that whatever I say on the internet is something I would say to a person to their face. There is no honor in hiding behind th eanonmity of the intarwebz.

I don't think that your being black is a good argument against racism though. I used to know a lot of black guys when I was in th emilitary who would flat out call me a cracker or honkey ( I thought this was particularly funny since I'm Native American and look Mexican).

In America, blacks are the traditionally known victims of racism, so I can understand your statement. But overall, all this sums up to is that you don't discrimininate based on race alone.

Is cause your not saying it to the persons face! I think everyone is subject to making a racist remark. Even if you say your against it or you don't do it, it's still going to happen, even if it's indirectly. Like if you see a black person with a bucket of chicken and think "Damn! Black people sure love that chicken!" or a black person saying "Man, that white boy can't jump." It will happen.

Maybe it's just because i live a relatively sheltered life, but i think the racism has definately gotten a little better over the last 50 yrs. Theres still a lot of it, but I think its an improvement that we no longer hear about race rioits in Chicago or the KKK in the south. I believe it really is attitude and its also what makes it difficult to change. Still, there is progress and I think that's important.
Im asian, but I've lived in the US for a long time. In my mind, the US is my homeland, regardless of where i was born. I mean i get stereotypes like (azns are all nerds who study all day) and theres the occasional person who will make fun of you in the hallways, but Im not sure if that cuz of race or whatever. I honestly don't dislike any of the people who do judge cuz i feel like its more of a reflection of who they are than what i am. They just don't know any better. They might know its wrong to label people but maybe they don't have the maturity or experience to no how to stop.

i don't believe it's fair to judge anyone based on culture, background and whatnot. I also can't stand when people get way too sensitive about their race and react to any innocent statement because they think it contains a racist innuendo. I personally cannot find fault with anyone because of their race, but I still enjoy a good racist joke cuz idk they're just hilarious (especially ones against my own culture, I'm Chinese btw)

i agree w. funkmu1. Im chinese too and i make jokes about my own race. Part of getting past race is being able to laugh about it.

Racism probably exhists in everyone at some level.

I just try to think of the stereotypes associated with race as less racial profiling and more economic and social profiling.

For example I dislike a lot of black pop culture due to it's celebration of ignorance. But have nothing against black people.

I dont instigate racism, but if someone gets racist with me, then all's fair. All my black buddies at work know this and are kool with it cause they get what I mean.

Although they all like to joke and say Im secretley racist

I think racism is disgusting and just wrong, I mena, how can you hate someone because of hes/hers skin color and such.

Sometimes it amazes me that people can be so stupid and close minded.

as individuals some white ppl are cool...i can chill and do what ever with ya'll...in those situations race doesn't matter...but as a race,for the most part, yall do some fucked up things...it may sound ignorant and stupid but most of the time when u live life the smart things aren't all ways what u do...
