Hello, I just wanted to know how are request are rejected as tried to add a release and myself as Scanlator -yes I did the release- but the requests suddenly disappeared from the home. And there is no update to the manga and I can't find myself in Scanlators page. So what exactly happened and how do you reject a request?
P.S. can you change the title as it is not "Chisaka" but rather "Sensaka" that is how the mangaka named it.

Well the releases policies yeah I did
but the group policies no I don't have any of the second part and unfortunately I don't have the time to maintain one. so unless you would require me to create a Batoto group that would be empty, can't I be exempt from that? still how do I know if a request is rejected?

I might be butting in, but hopefully it is alright.
Unless I misunderstand you, you did not enter a link to any website where people can find your scans?
This is however a requirement so that moderators actually can confirm that the release you reported actually exists.
Making a batoto group is rather easy and then you only need to upload your scans there for us to confirm a release (and it helps the leachers to find and read your scans).

well if it is about the releases I post them on Jcafe so does posting the link to the forum topic would count? also unless there is a reason, can I change Shounen A to Shounen Ace it is kinda irritating
P.S. just in case some people did not know you would need to signup to have access to the download links
P.S.S. forsake of reference as the FAQ does not mention how are requests are rejected. I would be grateful if someone answered that.

As it seems you have a forum/thread dedicated to your releases, then add your group with a) its name, and b) give the link to that forum/thread.
Then once the group have been approved, just add the release again. (Since you need a registered Group to link your release to).
Roughly on how releases are approved:
a) A moderator checks if the 'series' and 'group' in the reported release exists on MangaUpdates. When applicable, a 'chapter' and/or 'volume' for the release are also noted.
b) The moderator then verifies that the release actually exists (That it can be downloaded on the scanlators site/forum and/or can be read on the scanlators online viewer. Just releasing on for instance, mangafox or mangahere, is NOT enough. Note that Batoto is an exception to this).
c) The moderator also checks if all policies are followed.
If no issues turn up, like there being no approved group, then your release is approved and displayed on the site, on the groups list of series, the groups list of releases, and the series list of releases.
If a series can't be approved, it will be rejected. Sometimes this might take a little while to sort out.
I really cant say any more on the subject. Make really sure that you follow the policies when adding your group and when adding releases.

Yes, that would work, see the beginning of my post.Quote from QScan

Could you clearify this please? is it a group name, the name of a series or something else?Quote from QScan

We have no issues with having to register on forums to find releases. (Having to post 100 posts to download, or something that troublesome however, would be a problem.)Last edited by illya_ at 1:58 pm, Jul 29 2014

it seem that I need to clarify I work alone as I do everything -except for the scanning the raw ironically- that is why my user name is "QScan" as Quick, similar to how horriblesubs where they focus on translating and releasing on time, so there is no "Group" per say.
P.S. Jcafe don't have absurd rules as far as I can remember.

There are a lot of groups out there that uses public scans, this is not an issue. There are also a lot of groups consisting of a single person, no issue.
However you have to link your release to a registered group on MangaUpdates for us to approve your release.
Just create a group with your own name 'QScan', add the link to your forum/release thread. Then once you can find QScan as one of the Scanlators on the site you can add the release.
We have to have a group for every release. This is nothing we will change.
And since you say that Jcafe have no strange requirements to download there should be no issues. Just create a group page, add the url link, and once approved add the release
Also, thanks for scanlating and reporting your release to us

Since I don't know how to verify this and/or edit that name I'll hope that lambchopsil will notice this and change the name if it is indeed correct.

Using a link to JCafe may or may not qualify as a link for your group submission to exist. I'd need to see the actual link before I make that call. However, chances are that your link will not qualify.
For the Shounen A issue, I want definitive proof that it's "Shounen Ace" and not "Shounen A" because all manga (currently 194 series) from that magazine currently are listed as "Shounen A"

I don't know if Shounen A is a valid alternative name, but the name is Shounen Ace for sure, You can check it everywhere, for example on the official Twitter:

It appears Shounen A is a valid name, as the cover is stylized in that way:
http://comic-walker.com/magazine/detail/KS01/
It's also that way on online books stores 7netshopping.jp, e-hon.ne.jp, kinokuniya.co.jp, amazon.co.jp, rakuten.co.jp (Search: 少年A (エース), 少年A, or 少年エース )

hmm you know that the Katakana next to the A "エース" says "Ace" so the full text "月刊少年エー スA" reads "Monthly Shounen Ace A". Again the reason for the change was mainly to help people find the magazine faster, as you know "Shounen Ace" is more Dominant than "Shounen A".
[Edit] If I'm not mistaken the A is meant to Identify that the "エ" doesn't mean "e" in roumaji but rather "a"
