This is more of an announcement than an actual thread, just thought that at least someone should mention this fact

Current Status (when posted):
Latest Kenichi Manga chapter: 61
Latest Kenichi Anime episode: 26

It seems that the last released episode of Kenichi (~anime) already covered a chapter we haven't seen scanlated yet.
Thus this makes it official that the manga precedes the anime no more. If you want more kenichi: follow the anime!

I don't think Eternal Blue will catch up again since kuro-hana fansub and Umai-Doremi fansub (when their break is over) release episodes at a high pace, especially in comparison to manga releases.

ps: This thread was not meant to discourage the scanlators of Eternal Blue. I love their work and even if the anime is a lightyear ahead of the manga, I'll still enjoy each chapter as much as the previous one.

I know this is quite the old topic but, does this statement still hold truth?

no.
the anime end (episode 50) is the chapter 143 of the manga.
the manga is up to the chapter 148 already

Hajime no ippo got a second season almost 10 years after the first season, so there is always a possibility.

would love to see a second season, I saw the anime first and that got me started on the manga. Was pretty annoying at first since i knew mostly what was gonna happen in the first 143 chapters but still I'd rather read the manga from the beginning and not miss anything like the mountain training arc (with akisame) that wasnt shown in the anime. The Yomi arc is extremely cool and can't wait to see that animated, also glad that the mangaka didn't waste a bunch of chapters on almost every fight in the tournament and actually finished it pretty fast and got back to developing the story. (not that I have anything against fighting mangas but I prefer plot development).
