It pisses me off that the main character is such a wimp. I'm asking anybody who read this. Will Hiro get stronger? He is just being pushed around and serves only as human shield for Hime. Is this going to continue?

I've watched the anime, and though that doesn't count for much in manga it's my only source and shows that he is and will always be a weakling but as with most shounen has the guts to face up against opponents...but still weak nonetheless -_-;

If that's the case...I'll drop this manga. I've only read it because I hoped he would get some good character development. But he is still the same timid, weak guy....or maybe this is like Reborn! and the real plot starts later...anyway if anyone sees progress, please reply in this thread...then I might pick it up.

The princesses sister hinted at him having the potential to become stronger... I would say this will happen when they start confronting the older brothers.

i think he'll probably get stronger

hiro's an interesting character though, i like that he's a man of few words unlike most shounen characters who talk too much

I agree, he isn't one of the shounen characters who are constantly whining about there own inability. He does what he can with his power when he needs to. He has saved the day to some extent several times ever if he is wimpy compared to the females around him...

The anime is pretty bad, it's too kiddy since they changed all the good and bloody parts to fit the time slot. Hiro never went into blood warrior mode in the anime (because there was no bloodcry ).

The manga gets better, Hiro does get stronger. Stronger as in less whining about less important stuff, he'll worry about Hime and the others but that's his job. Hiro isn't the type to be overly-confident or strong at all times, this isn't that kind of manga.

He is a blood warrior, so yeah, he'll always be Hime's human shield. That part stays since that's his unique abililty compared to the others.

I'm up to chapter 44, and he's gotten pretty good at not worrying about getting hurt or killed. Heck, he's putting up pretty well against the later enemies and whines a lot less if at all. Personality-wise he improves a lot, just don't expect him to be like Oga...

What I don't understand is why Hiro doesn't walk around with a weapon. He lives in a supernatural war-zone. Is there any excuse not to carry around a sword or gun given the circumstances? This is why he's a joke.

QFT.

Seriously, he's completely unable to die and yet is still so weak somehow. I even remember one chapter he ended up being a vampire AND a blood-warrior and yet still posed no threat to anyone.

There was something in a past chapter (don't know which one) where they talked about Hiro and his abliities and made it sound like he was some super special blood warrior. No development yet on that thus far.

in all reality hiro does fight and usually is in front of hime while taking in attacks and giving them when they are surrounded several times throughout the series, but he isn't so much as strong as durable u could say and if u do read it he is in the weirdest ways the one to be the hero in some cases personally this manga is one of my favorites so i may be a little biase tough if all u care for is ecchi and super human psycho manga this isnt for u

A few chapters back he was shown in the alternate timeline when he got trapped in the alternate monster city. He vowed to never die again and...
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
actually pulled it off for years, and met future characters like the grown Sherwood. He became quite a skilled warrior.

Let me take a look at the chapters. I'll come back with the actual chapter number in a few minutes...
EDIT: Right, chapter 71. It's the end of two arcs with chapters released in random order that interconected right at this point.

Lol at Francesca checking Hiro's powerlevel with a saiyan scouter. laugh
