Hello!

I've always liked shounen-ai stories, and was wondering what manga other people liked or recommended?
I'm looking for anything, so long as it's good and not focused on sex (there can be, but so long as it's not just yaoi, but shounen-ai).
I love shounen manga with hints (or more) of shounen-ai, like
Yorozuya Tokaidou Honpo
Loveless
and cute ones like
Koiha Ina Mono Mouna Mono-even though it's yaoi, it's not really focused too much on sex. and
Hatsukoi Elegy
Any recs or titles would be great!

Those you mentioned are not shounen manga at all. 🤣

Real shounen with shounen-ai are something like No Bra.

If you are looking for slash potential, I suggest: Pure subtex. There are some shounen manga in that.

There are strong "hints" of shounen-ai in Air Gear (Aeon Clock & Spitfire; Aeon's obsession with Ikki), although it takes reading a few volumes before any of it pops up. Still, I highly recommend it!

I think the problem here is that shounen.....is aimed at guys.....who are not interested in guys snogging guys. Guy-on-guy is for girls and gay guys, girl-on-girl is for guys and gay girls.

......And that's the simplified version of my Theory of Gay Manga.

Should I even bother? Well I won't but I really don't think that was necessary to state. The OP was only looking for recs, others were able to understand that, don't think he/she was looking for your definition of what shounen manga is and who it is aimed at. Which btw, is kinda wrong. >.>

Kagerou Nostalgia
Getbackers, Saiyuki- Although not so many hints, it's really out there. O_O

And yup, try that Pure subtex thread. Don't think you'll find real shounen-ai there though.

Monochrome factor (more the anime)

Yu Yu Hakusho has a lot of hoyay and a canonical gay couple, as I recall (it's been a while).

xxxHolic is a shounen, right? Well, I suppose it isn't techincally a canon couple, but as it's a CLAMP series there's lots of subtext between the main character, Watanuki, and his bodyguard-type, Doumeki. Doumeki is canonically in love with him.
