I'm going out on a limb saying its an acting manga, because my memory of it is a little too vague, but the scenario I remember leads me to believe that it is. However it could very well be in any other part of the entertainment industry.

The manga I'm looking for has a part in it where the female protagonist goes on an audition and she can't read the script. She can only read kata kana or something and its in hirigana or kanji or something. So one of the other people auditioning who feels threatened by her(or just thinks shes stupid) decides to "help" her and "translates" the script, but she purposefully translates it incorrectly in order to sabotage her.

I pretty much read all of glass mask again thinking it was that manga (and its not)
