I'm looking for a mature romance in which the interests don't skip around the issue for hundreds of chapters. I don't mind a relationship that takes a while to develop, so long as there is actual development. A decent amount of drama and maybe a love triangle here and there. And when I say mature, I don't mean they screw the first chapter and every other chapter after that, the relationship is the basis, not sex. I'm not a fan shojo (much to many sparkles, most popular/class president crushes, and crappy art), more of seinen. Good art is always a plus.

Kingyo Sou: The problem is that the guy in the relationship is deaf. It os a sweet story that doesn't ignore that problem but works on it. Very realistic.

Tramps Like Us: As John pointed out. A very good josei. 14 Volumes. Very sweet relationship between an older woman and a younger man.

Paradise Kiss: Very realistic portrayal of love. Sad ending.
