Again, I thank you in advance for your help.

I have already read two manga about children with special needs: With the Light, which deals with autism, and Hotman, in which a young girl has severe allergies. There is also Mr. Super Clean, whose main character is a child with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, although it's basically a comedy as opposed to the other two stories, which are very serious.

I have yet to find a manga about adults with similar special needs, though.

I know that there are other disability-themed threads, but they all appear to emphasize romance in some way. However, I am looking for a manga where the main focus is simply on living daily life with special needs. Romance is not the point, although it may occur at some point. It is all right even if it never occurs.

I would like to avoid anything that unrealistically glamorizes or tragedizes a special need. It should be a realistic, slice-of-life manga about getting on with the normal business of everyday life.

If anyone is confused about exactly what "special needs" means, you may read this guide. Generally speaking, "special needs" include the following conditions or concerns: medical issues (e.g. food allergies, asthma, congenital heart defects and cerebral palsy), developmental issues (e.g. Down's syndrome, autism and mental retardation), learning problems (e.g. dyslexia), mental health issues (e.g. clinical depression) and behavioral problems (e.g. Attention Deficit Disorder or Tourette Syndrome).

Please help me find more manga about adults or children that have special needs. smile
