Just in case.Don't read it if you don't wan to know. I won't bother to put spoiler tag. Sorry.
This is actually complicated so I will try my best. I won't give you every single detail sorry because it's sooooooooo long but here is basic outline.
Rak So is a childhood friend Ju Un (real name is Sa Dam). They were very close before she got kidnapped.
Woo Jin is her "prince". The one w/ whom she bury the treasure. The reason he doesn't look like Hoek So is because the grandma took him away to "replace" the real Woo Jin & have him plastic surgery. Though Woo Jin is still blood related to the family but he is an illegitimate child.
Woo Jin & Rak So are cousins. Rak So is also a nephew of the grandma who took little Hoek So away.
Ju Un (Sa Dam) is the daughter of a famous pianist couple she likes. And as you know in the 1st chapter, a guy for some reason took her away from her parents, abandoning her on the island. Then that's when she met Hoek So.....
Rak So is in love w/ little Sa Dam so even though 10 yrs have passed, he is still looking for her. So Dam was his first love.
There is this girl, forgot her name, but she has long hair so I will call her long hair girl (abbreviation lhg), she loves Woo Jin but Woo Jin does not like her. Rak So also likes her but not as much as So Dam.
So a bunch of things happened, now Ju Un has to go to Seoul w/ Rak So for 3 yrs as a contract to help her friends w/ money.
Rak So wants Ju Un to make Woo Jin likes her. They lied to Woo Jin that her name is something else, but Woo Jin finds out Ju Un's real name so Woo Jin now knows Ju Un is his "sister" whom he lived w/ on the island. Woo Jin & Rak So do NOT get along.
So Woo Jin starts to love her. (He did like before knowing her real name, but more serious now.)
As a reader I know Rak So starts to like her too but he doesn't know it yet. Ju Un was carefree and behave like So Dam. He can relax and laugh around her like how he was when he's with little Sa Dam.
But a fake witch disguise as So Dam to get money comes in the picture. And for like 8 volumes, the story focus on how the the witch sabotage Ju Un & every time, stupid Rak So was on the witch's side. Can't blame him though, because he thought the witch was his 1st love, the real So Dam.
The annoying thing is there are like a bunch of times when Ju Un behaves exactly like little So Dam (like she could ride a horse that only allows real So Dam to ride; the horse threw the witch off but allow Ju Un to ride. When she was drunk, she tried to talk Rak So into kissing exactly the way So Dam did, and a bunch of other things) How could he not recognize she is the real So Dam? He is stubborn! Well, towards the end he kind of doubt about the witch's identity BUT the witch asks lhg (long hair girl, remember?) a couple of things about little So Dam. Then she pretend to remember a few things about the past (forgot to mention, she fake she lost memories). So Rak So believes the witch again.
Then one day, Ju Un & her friends go to a cafe at the same time w/ the witch and her partner-in-crime (actually the witch's brother, mean guy!) discussing their evil plot. Ju Un didn't hear anything about their plan. She only feels strange and wants to ask the witch about it. The witch got scared and run because she thought Ju Un heard, Ju Un chased after her, the witch got into an accident and died on the spot!
So every body blamed Ju Un (even the twins, which are real So Dam's brothers & sisters). Rak So lets Ju Un goes to live w/ Ju Un's island friend (forgot her name). He said to Ju Un that he likes her but he was supposed to like Sa Dam. Because of that, he can't bear to look at Ju Un anymore now that Sa Dam was dead.
She left, nobody knows where she went.
3 months later, Woo Jin meet her again (forgot to mention, at some pt before she left, Woo Jin told her that he is Hoek So. And also long before that, he has to pretend to have no interest in her because the grandpa will "get rid of her" if he knows about it.), & they go to an art display by So Dam's mother (she did not know about the fake So Dam incident since she was abroad and her children did not wan to tell her worrying she will be sadden). In this art display, the mother paints little So Dam. And in her last picture, she use basic anatomy to paint So Dam as an adult. So as Woo Jin & Ju Un go, people look at Ju Un because she looks like the model.
Then they saw the last painting, they were surprised to see it looks exactly like Ju Un. Then at that same time, mother, the twins, & Rak So came in. The mother cried out hysterically that Ju Un is her long lost daughter. The twins, still did not know the truth, said no mother, you got the wrong person, So Dam died already. But the mother still insists Ju Un is So Dam.
So Dam some days ago have a dream about her past. (She had some before, but this dream give her a name & more clear). She wants to test and said: Ji Hong (Rak So's childhood nickname that So Dam gave him), That's the only thing I remember about the past. I was abandoned in an island.
And tada!!! everybody now knows she is the real So Dam. Actually they had a DNA test. (The fake witch also has a DNA test but I thick the they bribed the doctor).
Rak So also investigated and know now the witch was a fake. Of course, he lost his confidence to go back to Ju Un because he hurt her.
And guess what? So Dam was engaged to Woo Jin!
Ju Un still wants people to call her Ju Un because she still does not remember a lot about her Sa Dam's past or the time she had w/ Rak So.
A misunderstanding happened. Then she agreed to go w/ Woo Jin to study abroad to forget Rak So. Woo Jin goes to Rak So's house tell him not to interfere w/ them. Rak So wants to see Ju Un the last time. So Woo Jin pushed Rak So's off the stare, not serious injury but Rak So needs to be at the hospital. And of course, this still does not stopping Rak So from going to the airport BUT Rak So's manager worrying that if Rak So goes, Woo Jin might try something more dangerous the next time, so he asked the nurse to give Rak So sleeping pills for him to sleep for days.
{Another thing to mention that before Ju Un goes abroad & live at her mother house, (forgot to mention to, through some talks, she agreed to live with her mother with her island friend. They also go visit the island. The mother says to the villagers that Ju Un is not a cursed child. The villagers apologize.) there was some person putting stones w/ red heart in her mailbox every week. We will figure it out later
But you have your own guess!}So while Rak So sleeps, Ju Un aboards!
1 yr later
The island friend has a surgery on her foot so she could walk normal (yes, she was a little of a cripple before) and is now dating the male twin - Ju Un's brother
Ju Un still hasn't forget Rak So and find a hobby in collecting stones, she also feel at ease looking at the stones w/ red hearts.
Woo Jin still try to win her heart. Proposes to her in their 1st anniversary of going out, but she refuses saying that Woo Jin is Rak So's cousin so she will always be reminding of Rak So everytime she's with Woo Jin.
On her way back, she walk over a stone then she has a flash back of the past (actually I am not sure when but it was about this time), and that was when little Sa Dam (her) and little Rak So playing and they were having an argument about which is more hard, jewels or stones. So finally little Rak So give out, admit defeat to to little Sa Dam who was insisting that stones are better.
So now she knows who have been giving her these stones - Rak So. (Oh wait never mind, I remember now, it was before she boards the plane. After the discovery, she went to look for Rak So. And this was when the misunderstanding I mentioned before happened. The one before she decided to go abroad)
When she walk over the stone, I think she only feels that someone is "following" her and I can't remember why, she go into this house. And in the whole house, they were pictures of her.
And of course, Rak So walk out. He has been following her the whole time. Documenting everything. (It's not creeping in the stalking way, it's actually kind of sweet.) She moved. Both of theirs' barrier melt and they kissed!

It's recommended but you will find some bickery parts in the middle of the series. It was when Rak So & Ju Un both trying to refuse their feelings for each other and the witch trying to sabotage Ju Un & every single time Rak So will believe the witch!! That was frustrating and mad.
There is this sabotage incident worth mentioning.
The witch was mentioning to Rak So how she all got bully at school (lies!! she was stuck up) by Ju Un and how Ju Un is a 2 face trying to "seduce" Rak So.
So she destroyed the bath system in Ju Un's room, and said hers was destroyed too. She told Ju Un to bath in Rak So's room because he won't be home today. But actually he will be home early.
So when Rak So walked in the bath and saw Ju Un naked. He believed the witch's lies and believe Ju Un was trying to sabotage their (Rak So & fake witch) relationship and trying to seduce him. He then tell Ju Un while fake witch and him went out for dinner to go away - leave his house.
Ugghh!!! I was so mad.
