Survival of the fittest, my friends.
I'm not vegetarian but I could be if I wanted. It's just less of a hassle to just eat meat. I don't have to worry about what I can and cannot eat.
I'm Chinese and I go to school with a lot of White people so of course I get the, "at least I don't eat dog" comment all the time (They're joking but it has come up on several occasions). If you don't tell me what it is and I don't see it getting slaughters and bloody, I'm fine. I don't like to think about where my food comes from and I hope it stays that way.
It used to be a requirement to read "Fast Food Nation" or watch the movie or something for my American Democracy class but my class skipped that section entirely and I am very grateful for that (Not that I ever showed up for that class). (:

My mum's rabbit died, and she found out (30 years later) that her dad had skinned it and her mother had cooked in a stew and fed it to the family.
What you don't know, doesn't hurt you...but she was very annoyed when she found out.
She said, that she didn't like to eat rabbit cause it reminded her of her pet.
So her mum told her it was chicken xD
Personally, I would only eat one...if I was really hungry..like desert island hungry. Otherwise, it wouldn't cross my mind...and I'd actually be upset if someone ate my cat.

Hell no! If it looks yummy just eat it!
No but, if I had a pet I would not eat it. But if i'm hungry and there has been a plague that had wiped out all the cows, goats, chickens etcetc. Sure as hell I would eat someones pet haha

Its wrong to eat any animal that someone else considers a pet. Thats like going into someone's home and killing a family member and eating them. Yes. Believe it or not some of us view our pets as our family. We love them.
Ok and I'll just be honest: I dont like to see anything cute get killed. There! I said it.

It's not wrong, but I'd really prefer to avoid it. When I start thinking about it, I don't like eating an animal that could have been used for something else, because it feels like a waste of its potential in that other area. So I don't like sending the ewes, for example, to slaughter, because hey, that sheep could have been a really great mom, you know? And killing a dog....it could have been a really nice dog. So I try not to think about it too much, because I'll go insane--in the end, there's always something else the animal could have been used for. Breeding, work, wool, companionship. But in the end, they're all meat.
But for my own personal eating habits, I try to avoid eating actively carnivorous animals. It's like the food chain is getting twisted or something. Yeah....something like that.
And don't try to drag intelligence into this, kids. You'd be surprised at how smart a sheep or a cow can be. It all depends on the individual, and individuality is something we try to avoid thinking about with reference to food. Yes?

Me and the cat have an agreement that one of us won't start chewing on the other until one of us is already dead.

Any animal can be considered a pet. Dogs and cat's aren't pets, unless they're, well, pets. I saw on TV someone with a moose as a pet. Is it any more wrong to eat dogs and cat than it is to eat pigs and cows? Of course it's wrong to eat pets no matter what animals they are—unless they're someone else's pets!

As long as it isn't someone's pet, I'll eat it.

The question itself is not valid. ANY animals can be considered a pet, no matter how unlikely. Remember Christian the Lion? That was someone's pet. I use to have chicken as a pet once, but I still like to eat Kentucky Fried Chicken damn it!

This.
When my dog died I didnt eat her, nor would it ever have crossed my mind to do so. If other people want to eat dog, fine, but if it's your pet I can't imagine anyone being able to stomach it. Same goes for any other pets.

I don't think it's morally wrong or anything and I think it might be interesting, but I can't bring myself to do it. It's illegal anyways
