I am too self-conscious and (as a previous poster said) wary to ever fall asleep when I am by myself in public. I look much younger than I am and I might be kidnapped or stolen from or something lol.

If I am with close friends or family and it has been a long day I might sleep in the car or on a train/bus. It's nice to be able to lean on someone's shoulder anyway smile

As for school, I trust the people in my class at school not to bother me, but I wouldn't want to miss class. In study hall I might sleep if I had nothing to do, but I usually have homework.

One time though, I was so tired that I fell asleep on a complete stranger's shoulder. And I drooled!!! no So awkward!!! dead

Not a possibility for me. I often have insomnia, so it's hard for me fall asleep and stay asleep even at home. When I flew to China I went almost 24 hours without sleep. Not because I didn't want to sleep, but because I wasn't able to fall asleep on the planes or in the car.

Architecture student here. I'd sleep anywhere.

Used to sleep on this ratty couch at my work place during breaks. I was on the early morning shift at a call center. Had to be logged in by 6AM. I spent most of my Senior year in high school sleeping in class. Though as far as sleeping in a real public place, why would I? I have a bed at home. If I was tired enough to sleep in public I'd just go home, which I have done on several occasions. I just don't see a point in it. So I guess I haven't really experienced it.

I rarely sleep in public. I've only done that when I was working night shift and I was so tired I fell asleep on the way home. I'm not comfortable sleeping in unfamiliar places. Like when I sleepover at a friend's house I barely sleep. More so in public.
