Half-life, Diablo, StarCraft, and WarCraft. They may be older games, but still some of the best.

two other RPGs:
Titan Quest &Add-on: good graphic, nice and "innovative" skill system, hack&slay =similar to diablo2, gets a bit repetitive over time

Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines: very nice atmosphere, fun and different characters and interesting skills (mass-suicide skill is fun biggrin), it's a bit buggy and stuff, you def. need to patch it ;_; ~95% works fine though.

World of Warcraft >_> lol just kidding. You're not prepared to go into MMO addiction are you? bigrazz Diablo is kinda open world. Neverwinter Nights too. Frankly speaking, there hasn't been many good releases for PC for a while now, all there is nowadays are FPS and RTS with barely any pure RPG and Action sad Though Devil May Cry 4 and Assassin's creed coming out soon does give me a little hope for PC gaming.

Warcraft III: Frozen Throne. Go to getdota.com and download the latest map, put it into your map folder. Start playing it on the BNET, I recommend playing on the AI script. I'd be happy to help you out if you play west coast US.

I heard Bioshock is pretty damn cool. Download the demo and see how you like it.

Bioshock for now
Team fortess 2 + half life 2 when it comes out
Hellgate london (Hellgate london is Diablo 3 in spirit) when it comes out
Spore when it comes out
SC II when it comes out
Crysis when it comes out
Iam sure there are other games coming out that are quite good, the lineup for this fall-spring is pretty killer.

If you like open ended worlds with good graphics however, Hellgate london will be you best bet, I suggest going to gamespy or somewhere and checking it out. It is for sure going to be one of the games that is coming out soon ill prolly being spending the most time on. Hellgate london comes out Oct 31 sadly.

About Bioshock- The only thing i didnt like about Bioshock was that there wasnt a expert mode, if they had another mode where they toss in more mobs and took away the rezer that would of made it funnier for me but that isnt enough for me to not love the game, cuz it is awesome. Guess ill just wait for the glory that will be BIOSHOCK 2.
