It's not true...
Well there is a Code Geass manga (even a few of them, I think), but the anime was first. The story in the manga was changed, too (this is what I heard, I haven't read them). So if you are interested in Code Geass I recommend that you watch the anime first.

Really? I didn't know that. I always thought that anime were manga brought to screen. Because anime need a base where they come from and everything has to be drawn and sketched out anyway. But, I guess it doesn't really matter which one comes first, it sucks when the plot gets changed -.-
