It would be very useful to have tool that would automatically update 'My Lists' upon reading manga files.

This app should recognize series, volume and chapter when opened in reader and send update info to mangaupdates. Sort of MAL Updater for http://myanimelist.net.

There are lot of programs for reading manga like Cdisplay or MangaMeeya. Probably the easiest one to achieve this feature would be ComicRack. For two reasons that distinguish it among others:

1. It has support for Python scripting, so writing your own plug-in implementing this would be possible.
2. Thanks to embedded Library and xml Metadata problem of recognizing particular file as specific series would be solved. You could easily assign files in ComicRack with their mangaupdates ID and concentrate only on doing sync of Lists.

I hope someone likes this idea and has enough skills and resources to make it real. This sort of automation would benefit 'My Lists' usability a lot.
