I guess the poll will reflect people's first impressions. Usually you vote before reading anything right?
Well I saw the movie and loved it.. At first I thought it was obvious that the top fell over since you could see it start to wobble before the shot cut away at the end. But then I read an article.
http://chud.com/articles/articles/24477/1/NEVER-WAKE-UP-TH E-MEANING-AND-SECRET-OF-INCEPTION/Page1.html
I changed my answer to, "it doesn't matter," afterwards. I wouldn't blame you if you wanted to believe that he was awake at the end though.

For me the top did not fall over. He's still inside his dreams.

Oh and the, "it doesn't matter," selection doesn't mean that you don't care either way. It means that the rules of the totems themselves can be thrown out the window. Since a rule in a dream isn't really a rule.

To me, it doesn't really matter. Reality is whatever you think it is; it doesn't matter if what you think is correct or not. So, if Cob believes he was in reality, then, for all intents and purposes, he was. What matters is the fact that he did what he believed he had to do to go home. For all we know, he could've died, and what we saw was him neither in reality or the dream world; he might've been in heaven. But it doesn't matter, does it? He achieved his goal, and believes he's home. (I don't feel like I explained my point very clearly... sorry if this post doesn't make sense. I'm bad at explaining my ideas in words.)
