It's become an obligation now; you're so far into the series and it sort of is your duty to see it through to the ending. At least that's how I feel regarding Naruto, Bleach as well.

The same reason most people finished the Harry Potter series. You are so far into it you might as well finish it.

Harry Potter went to shit after the 3rd book in my opinion, but I just had to keep reading to finish the story.

Same with Naruto. Got bad after some point, but I might as well keep going.

about harry potter......4th book was also fine btw....the dragons and competition stuff was kinda nice....but it was downhill after that....anyway what did the hero accomplish .....he did nothing himself.......

got protected a few times by the scar his mother left
got his ass saved by the wand's core
hermoine did all the thinking
voldemort got his ass busted by his own spell ........so in the end what did potter do in 7 books ??just run around biggrin

I mean Harry potter story is pretty generic wizard teen book. I read dozens other series just like it, i wasn't that impressed when i read it. But hey, i kept reading it hoping i found out why it's so popular. then i realize maybe it's not me.....maybe it's everyone else....

Anyway, Harry potter was down the drain after the 2nd book. Good suspense but shitty character development and description. I don't feel the characters were very close to me nor probable human. I feel like I was reading a fiction.....which is bad when the fiction is trying to bring you into the wizrd fantasy world. The movie is just corny.

But i think naruto is a different case. Naruto dragged on for so long but it's just we all hope it would finish one day and conclude the story. But with harry potter, it's a "mehh... I kind of know the ending. Moldiebutt dies and Larry Pooper cries becuase some main character dies, but being the pedo ass hole he is, he's going to hit on his best friend's little sister and take adventage of her crush and marry her." Danggg I'm so bitter lol
laugh

Come on, what happened to knocking Naruto? That's what the thread is about. smile Much more fun in my book.

Lol, my hate for Harry potter far out weights my hate for the prolonged Naruto series.

But here's some Naruto roast: WTF is with Naruto....every time Naruto gets strong enough to kill the supposed main bad guy someone else more powerful shows up. The speed of powerful enemy pooping out is far greater than the speed Naruto is progressing in his power. At this rate, by next month, the enemy will probably be able to move the moon and smash Naruto with it....

Dear Naruto writer, stop dragging it on, I know this is probably your only source of income, but the Naruto series is slowly going down in quality. Please, for Naruto sake, end it well, and maybe start another career.

What I dislike about Naruto is the training the protagonist does through out the story. Its always been training->fight villain->new villain->training->fight villain->new villain. No one cares about how he trains because what the readers want is action. Can't he just be strong in the beginning and just keep kicking ass like One Piece?

i hated all the characters and harry's " im doing this all by myself" when everyone including snape was helping him and protecting him. i got pissed wh n i finished the last book because the only 2 characters iever liked dies, dobby and dumbledor. i know this thread is about bashing naruto but jk rowling messed it up. who would even do that to a g house elf. he was awsome.

The training is one of my favorite parts of the series. Seeing how a character actually develops their strength is very interesting.

I also continue reading it because of the inspirational scenes it has. Also the fact that it might be coming to an end soon, but that is just my assumption.

1. This is a rhetorical question; you already know the answer you want.
2. If you don't like Naruto why do you care? Go read what you like.
3. Some elements of the story may be ridiculous, but this manga introduced me to manga and it is my favorite manga despite itself.

You don't see Naruto fans comparing your favorite manga with Naruto, do you? I didn't think so. I think your most likely insecure about it and feel better knowing that you are part of the 'cool' group of people who hate all mainstream manga.

Anyway, I don't buy volumes, because I don't re-read stories. I read Naruto in Jump because I love the world it's set in more than anything. There's a couple characters I like, but it's more about the whole super-powered pseudo-ninja; it's just sort of defines shounen for me.

Most common answer: I'VE BEEN READING IT THIS LONG, I JUST WANT TO KNOW HOW IT ENDS!!!

But yeah, they're milking it for all it's worth.

the problem is they train for like 10 chapters and use it in like 2 chapters, kind of counterproductive.

as for why I'm still reading it, I just want to see how this manga end it's own misery

I think I'd rather that than 10 chapters of training and 10 chapters of using it like a freaking Dragonball move *coughspiritbombandssjcough*

i read naruto because of sasuke. plain and simple. only character i really like and the only character who is keeping things relatively ''real''. some of the flowery mushy stuff naruto utters would get him killed in the real world unfortunately. and this is a GREAT series. so i carry on reading it because i enjoy it, and sasuke is one of my all time favorite characters...although he is pretty evil now lol

Well, in the anime things were dragged out. But the manga was a lot more concise; Goku using the Spirit Bomb against Freeza took like two pages.
