I think the ending for the second season was a load of crap. The first season was great, and i loved the way it ended, even though it was a bit sad. The second season, i thought was horrible, and i felt like they were just dragging on the plot because they knew people would watch and they could make money. I admit, it was kinda nice that they had a second season, but i feel like it totally and utterly ruined the story. I mean ciel becoming a demon at the end? I was like, wtf?!?!? For all that hard work, Sebastian doesn't even get the soul? I felt they made the ending wayy to perfect, the way that Sebastian and Ciel were together in the end. Kuroshitsuji was one of my favorite shows, and the second season just dragged.... i didn't even bother to watch all the episodes....

I dunno... I kinda think they committed suicide at the end of it. It's the whole "where going to a place where humans and demons are treated the same" followed by them jumping off the edge of a cliff. ._. (Sorta like how Hannah mentioned them [her, Lucas, Jim and Clause] reaching Nirvana together right before the island got swallowed up by water.)
Any thoughts? Or am I just being a pessimist?

i don´t think they commit suicide. They are both not the type to kill themselves

i think this season was better than the last one, maybe bcz i was a bit disappointed at the fact that the anime took a total different direction from the manga..
I decided to watch this one and i Loved it till the last ep where Ciel becomes a Demon<biggest wtf ever!
i mean, yeah it would be predictable blah blah, but Sebastian did a HELL lot for this kid and wont eat it..? and the fact that he didn't look happy about it was worst!
the manga is my only consolation, and i hope something like this wont happen
just remembering makes my heart ache

See, everyone seems upset that Sebastian didn't get to eat Ciel's soul because it's unfair or something, but Sebastian's a demon. I love him too, but really? I can't feel sorry for the fact that a demon didn't get to eat another kid's soul. And it's not like Ciel broke the contract or anything. Actually I kinda liked that Sebastian got screwed in the end, because he was so sure of being able to eat Ciel's soul the whole time. It's like, bet you didn't see this coming (that might be a little mean, but w/ever. I do love Sebastian, believe me. I just love Ciel more.)
As for the suicide thing, I agree with ShadowSakura.

I was happy when Sebastian wasn't able to eat Ciel's soul. I mean, it was like an "in-your-face" type of thing, wherein Sebastian did EVERYTHING for Ciel (so that he will be able to eat his soul) but in the end, Ciel becomes a demon himself and Sebastian gets stuck with him for all of eternity. I liked how you can see the anger in Sebastian's face--- it's like he wasn't expecting that everything was going to backfire on him.

yeah. seeing the first seven episodes of the first season again (i bought them yay) i agree with you. wearing a pink hat, fighting against a gay guy with a chainsaw, dealing with finny, maylene and bard for so long and then he didn´t even get the freakin soul.
i never liked sebastian anyways (he is a bishie but i don´t want ciel to die and i hate it when he insults ciel). And first his prey got away, then it died and at last it reincarnated as a demon. what a failure

it is? there are defitnetly more outside there
i found out that sebastians name comes from a real person
things i learned in this season:
demons can lie
there are female demons
there are different ranks in hell
fighting with fork and knife seems to be a trend
there is a demon sword
the demon sword is stored inside a demon
demons can only be killed by the demon sword
a demon can cancel the contract by eating the contractor
a human can become a demon
the souls of the victims are stored inside the demon
demons can have subordinates
the only thing a demon has to follow is his own code
if a master orders a demon to serve him forever and the demon accepts it means till the end of the existence on the world
toboso yana likes french names
anime studios can trick fans (because everyone thought ciel and sebastian wouldn´t appear in season 2)
demons can measure the taste of a soul with their eyes
the real taste of a soul can be found out by drinking the owners blood
demons like to have mottos
sebastian knows how to use others for his advantage *cough*grell*cough*
demons can´t heal retards from being stupid (since finny, mairin and bard haven´t changed at all)

yeah suicide never crossed my mind...
and my fav character is Ciel, putting aside that sebastian was a demon, he behaved nicely most of the time he never did anything against his master but teasing, so i mean Ciel did the contract witht the demon, he should have payed, and what i really didnt like is not that but the fact that Sebastian looked so displeased...

YES! it sucks that, just when we finally get sebastian and ciel together forever, it has to be forced and not genuine. after all the fanservice of season 2, it's kind of like a giant finger in the face.

Its sucks that I fell in love with Alois Trancy just to find out he dies right away (and isn't in the books) and the second series ends terribly.

I try to think of it as an alternate ending. Of course no girl can resist such a show but still. I prefered the season one ending, instead of Sebastion being Ciel's ~female dog~ for all of eternity.
