An Anime That Shows A Great Betrayal (No Spoilers!)

Asudake Member 8:13 am, Sep 18 2010 Posts: 25	I'm Looking for Anime series' where someone goes through a great betrayal or a great loss or something that causes a great rift in his heart or belief in humanity, I don't want rape or anything of that nature. Specifically I'm looking for a male going through pain of lost love and dark thoughts (Females are also welcome but Preferably Male). I don't just want one, but allot, As much as you can actually. I'm looking for anime series' because I'm going to try to make a AMV on a song by American Hard Rock band Disturbed, The song is from their new album "Asylum" which Debuted at Number 1, 3 weeks ago; The premise of the song is that a Person (Male) is penetrated by a corrupted women and is slowly sapping his happiness and is dragging and keeping him in the dark, Where he's scared to face the light. He feels that the only way to pull away from this loneliness, this hatred and this fear is to "Kill" so to speak thee "Infection" that plagues his heart. Well, at least that's my interpretation. Edit - Pandora Hearts and Kuroshitsuji have something like this too (in the manga), but I'm not sure whether those incidents are carried on into the anime adaptations, since I haven't watched them.
