Ok, I was reading the other thread (Question for Female Otakus) and well, got curious on what you guys and girls think.
I personally think that the talk about female virginity has a slightly misogynistic approach to it. I mean girls who had slept with a lot of different guys are called slut/bitch/etc. but for a guy who has done the same… its seen as a good thing. Heck, they brag about it.
It’s probably a cultural thing too, but from where I grew up, guys expect their partner to sleep with them, but still want to marry a virgin. I mean… the hell does that mean?
Edit: I forgot to add a poll! So who do you prefer to be with?

Maybe it's a societey thing, but consider that most society views are based on their perception of reality. For example, most societies condemn incest, and we know that incest may produce birth deficiencies, most of the case is traumatizing for both sizes, specialy children, etc, etc, etc.
So what might be behind this "if girl = man, then girl = slut"? It's a scientific evidence that women that have had more sexual partners have more difficulties to get pregnant. Also, women are more susceptible to STDs. If we have in consideration that we are genetically programmed to survive and procriate, women who are sexually promiscous are endangering themselves and any future offspring. In the case of the man, the more women he copulates, the higher the chances of leaving descendants.
I know it sound's unfair, but that how it is. But just because it's different between men and women, doesn't mean it's unfair. Equal rights and views don't imply being similar. We can all be equal, in a individual way.
