I am the glowing mutant in the attic that my cat owns.

You know how it is with cats.

I don't have pets anymore. The last pets I had were tropical fish, they eventually all died and I couldn't be bothered getting any more.
My sister also used to have 2 rabbits,I think one died due to age and the other from falling out the cage.

Haha! If manipulated well enough brothers do make good pets. "Oi, bro I would like my DS. Go fetch!"

Seriously though, we have a crap ton of cats. About 10 to 15. It started with 2 feral cats that visited our backyard. We made a mistake; we fed them. Next thing you know we have a litter on our back porch. Then cat incest occurred. And then again. And again. I think we're on our 5th generation of inbred cats. And between them coming and going, we've probably had over 25 cats over the last 2 years. I love cats, but there's a point where it's just ridiculous.

something like that happened with the rabbits. there was a mom and a dad and they had babies. then the dad died and when one of the babies was older, it got the original mother pregnant. then we gave some away....

Wish I could own pets. Parents won't allow it though.

I actually would want a cat. They at least learn to do their business in a litter box.

That's why we "fixed" our pets. Ain't no babies popping out of any of our girls...

2 cats, one dog, and 5 chickens (there's 1 rooster, but he doesn't live at the house, because the crowing would disturb the neighbors).

This is the younger cat, with a santa hat on-User Posted Image

And this is the older one after surgery near the eye- User Posted Image

She looks mean in the pic, but she is really sweet. She is pretty much my best friend XD

Should of had a "Used to" option

I had a few pets. Lets see now...

3 rabbits
5 budgies
1 Cat

All died. One of the rabbits ran off, never to be seen again, the other one died of old age.
One of the budgies flew away, the others all died a natural death
And my only cat got run over cry She was only 1 year old as well...she liked to go outdoors a lot. I had a lot of problems with her when she found the windows open and starting roaming on the roof refusing to come in laugh Good times good times.

I want another cat. I love cats. Just having them sitting in your lap is enough to relax me. Loveable little things they are eyes

Bah. That costs money. What's the cost to get a pet fixed these days?

Depends. Most places have programs to help cover the cost; some programs will even do it for free.

If you have a pet, it's just plain irresponsible to let it reproduce. If you don't have the money to spay/neuter your pet, then you really shouldn't have a pet at all.

We have seven cats, and ALL of them are spayed/neutered. If we ever want an additional cat, the local humane society has plenty needing homes, and the adoption fee is a lot cheaper than paying to have them spayed/neutered (plus they've already had some vaccinations & a dose or two of de-wormer). Our two "free" kitties that I rescued from a barn have cost me a lot more than our humane society kitties, that's for sure. roll
