Ok, I think it's awesome that they have British accents, though I don't think Sebastian's voice fits him at all. But still. It's good that they tried to make the accents accurate, even using higher up British English for the nobility and cockney accents for the servants.
Most of the time, I like Ciel's voice okay, but I just HATE Lizzy's voice. It's sooooo obnoxious. And Grell's voice too. Eww.
And, once again, Sebastian was better in the Japanese version, but I really like Madame Red in the English version. Too bad she gets killed off.

English Dubs: What do you think?
Poll
I'm totally loving them. Their British accents rock!
They're good, as far as English Dubs go. At least they're better than the Japanese.
They're okay, but I like the original version better.
Seriously? I think they're just plain bad.
I have mixed feelings. Sometimes I think I like them, but then other times I really don't.
I'm not sure/haven't heard them

I just hate dubs. If it's not in the original language I'll google for some subs. And if that dosen't work I don't watch it.

Of course! Only Daisuke Ono can pull off Sebastian's voice.
Personally, I'm not a big fan of english dubs. The people who do it try too hard to be like the Japanese voice actors and just FAIL really badly. When I hear American cartoons the voice acting is just fine but when I hear anime dubs... it's just crap.

i was forced to watch lord of the flies, black and white, if there is more than one version.
i cant stand the heavy english accent, that said, having it being a fairly light accent, such as you know where they are from, is a nice touch, but you get people, who sound like kids, speaking a heavy english accent, i start to envy the deaf.
all in all, dubs sense 2000 and onward have for the most part been tollarable, not the ear rape that was... hold on a moment... Gestalt, an anime that i think was farly nice, killed by the voice acting in english...
i just did a check, that got dubbed in 2000..........
ok... im guessing dubs can still blow, but GENERALLY they are all tolerable.

I think I'm used to listening to ONO Daisuke's sexy voice that hearing an English dub just kills it...
As to other dubs, the only dubs that I found to sound very natural (and I might prefer it to the original) would be dubs done by Disney releases of Hayao Miyazaki's works... like Ponyo, Howl's Moving Castle and Spirited Away... the English dub for Mushi-shi is pretty good too...

Well, they're better than the Turkish ones.
But nope, I don't watch it if it's not original.

Exactly. American cartoons sound amazing while their dubs are of such low quality. Not that it matters to me, the original voices are always better anyway.

i don´t know if the english dub videos i saw are fansubs or not, but it doesn´t seem that good. But better then the german verison. poor undertaker-chan i have the DVD and the dub sucks. they should dub anime anymore, just sub them and sell them less expensive on dvd. and for tv they should also use the sub version.

If you saw the real dubs, you should know it. There are currently 4 episodes dubbed, and they all start out with the unmistakable "Funimation" beginning. They're on youtube, as full length episodes.

I totally agree with you!!! American cartoons have really good voice actors so why can't the dub have that too?! But it's absolutely true that the original is always better (it's like watching a Harry Potter movie in swedich dub, my ears are bleeding!)
About the Kuroshitsuji dub: I asolutely hated it, they sounded so bad!!!!
THEY HAD DISTROYED MY CUTE LITTLE CIEL!!! He sounded too feminine and Sebastian ... it was just wrong (I get chills when I think about it)!!!
Tanaka's voice actor actually fitted pretty well ... it's just that Tanaka is japanese so it was totally wrong!
Grell sounded promising in butler mode and I was actually looking forward to the shinigami mode ... but it was a total disapointment!!

i think most dubbs are terrible either they dont match the characters or they make the translation wierd. I like subs cause cause most of the time they do match. although ill admit a couple times i thought the sub for a character didnt match either.

Most take their hate for them too far and don't give any a chance. Granted 99% are horrible, but then you have the select few that are actually good or better. IE: Nothing better than Brian Drummond as Vegeta when he realizes Gohan tricked him and got away with the dragonball. But ya, finding good ones is like finding a needle in a haystack.
