Is there a way that you can exclude certain categories (not genres) in a search?

Great. Officially consider this a suggestion.

Also, I think it could be a good idea if members could edit the recommendations list for different manga. That way, someone could have a more trustworthy idea of good manga, based on something other than computer generated recommendations.

That's all.

"Good manga" is entirely subjective, so I think this is kind of pointless - one person might think a certain manga shouldn't be recommended, while another would recommend it wholeheartedly. The computer generated recs are presumably based on some kind of data or statistics, so it eliminates this subjectivity. I think it's fine as it is.

Perhaps you could have a thumbs up/thumbs down thing for manga on the recommendation list, though, like the agree/disagree for categories. Then the manga with the most thumbs up would be "highly recommended", etc etc. That sort of thing.

Sure, sure, that's good. It just seems to me that a lot of times stuff on the recommendations list doesn't fit. But the thumbing idea - brilliant.

Any progress on that "Exclude Categories" option?

there is an official way to exclude categories in the search you put a minus - before the category you want to exclude. eg. -weak male lead

Really? That doesn't seem to be working for me...
