i dont know if this is already a thread or not, but if you could have a new name from another culture, what would it be? i would like the name shura zetsuei hisame because i think shura means bloodshed, zetsuei means absolubte shadow, and hisame means ice cold rain. i just like it.

If I was British, I'd wanna be named Hildegarde.
If I was a white boy, I'd want to be named Jack.
If I was a puppy, I'd want to be named Tart.
If I was a DotA hero, I'd want to be named Killen Dogma.
If I was a flower, I'd want to be named Lily.
If I was a household item, I wouldn't want to be named Ulysses.

For a japanese name, I would NOT like to be called Sakura. Because, somehow, everybody's called Sakura in mangas... So as a girl: Naora and as a boy: Naoya. I like the sound of it.
And that would be the only other names I'd accept. I like my own name too much to change it (even though it's nothing special^^).

"Euphemia \e(u)-phe-mia\ as a girl's name is of Greek origin, and the meaning of Euphemia is 'well-spoken'. Latin form of a Greek name. Early Christian name and the name of a fourth-century virgin martyr. The pet form Effie became more popular in the 19th century."
"The name was first taken up by English speakers in the 12th century and it saw a modest revival in the 19th century, particularly in Scotland where it was used as an Anglicized form of the Gaelic Oighrig."
It's indeed a pretty name.

I would change it to anything that is more of the country I'm from, but not Boy that being the most common name for a boy there. Most of the ppl I've met with an american name from the same country i'm from say the same thing.
I like the surname Finn/Fynn

If I changed my name tomorrow, Andrea.
If I was a male (and french), Louis.
But actually I'm quite satisfied with my current first name and surname, even though my first name is kind of common in my country.
