well seems like chapter 91 introduced a new mystery
now it's evident that this island (or Continent?) contains some human civilization traces
so that leaves us to guess whats kind of world are they in:
a) an alternative world (or parallel world)
b) the past (can anybody using the ancient animal tells us about the time that they are living in
and if the humans where already existing at that time?
c) an artificial world ala Jurasic park (is it Pliocene-park then)??
Anybody was fooled by page 9 chapter 91 and though that they were talking about the fake Mina (and lolled if you get what i mean )?

I looked at [not read since I can't read them] the RAWs and I'm going with 'C'... Based off what I saw in them.

This one reminds me a bit of LOST.
I like the artificial world, make a lot of sense. Though using humans as experimental subjects seem bit too cruel (then again at least half of people are dead). Virtual reality world wouldn't be so bad either, cause then those that died didn't really die. Then I guess some has to live with the knowledge of the crimes they committed afterward.

I think it's most likely an artificial world. It can't be a past because although many of the animals do belong to to the Pliocene epoch (a few million years ago), There have been sightings of Triassic animals, which would have lived at least 200 million years ago. Besides, any sort of human traces would have been very early forms of humans. However, civilization dates back to thousands of years, not millions.
Also, in chapter 92 we learn that the mountain was manmade, and contained a type of plastic that was an issue for governments. Even if it was some sort of parallel world and there was a human civilization, it would be improbable that they had invented plastic and decided to make a gargantuan mountain without leaving any traces of themselves. Also, Yarai ends up speculating on how the creation of the mountain would have costed a lot of money, which is strange because it is unlikely that any natural human civilization would have had the same concept of money as the modern world.
Its more plausible that a government/corporation created an alternate world to dump all of that plastic so that everyone else doesn't have to deal with it. If not that, they went into a parallel world and made the mountain.

in the first panel Marya was thinking about the real Miina
then Akira asked him "what should we do about the TRAP!" and guess what i seriously thought that him was talking about the fake Miina
then Marya replied "I'm thinking of destroying it because it's so dangerous!" loll yeah a human TRAP is soooo fukin dangerous

Current raws have them finding the remains of a woman(?) in a lighthouse(?) whom may have been a scientist?
The thing don't really buy in the jurrasic park theme is... why sea creatures? How are you doing to prevent sea creatures (Specifially the serpentine whale, Basilosaurus) from expanding out and being discovered by the rest of the world?
And there's something else nagging me, but I've honestly forgotten what it was.

undersea barbed wire ? (like "Deep blue sea" movie)
also seine fishing use long wall-like fishnets that reach 1000metres
so surrounding the island isn't technically difficult and the japanese arn't behind in fishing technics
lately the raws showed a map with more landmarks and one of them looked like a base with an airfield so more point go to the Pliocene-park hypothesis maybe close to south america where terror birds were the apex predators
unless that it turn out that humans are conquering the Jurassic world itself with a advanced outpost like the one in "Sento Yousei Yukikaze" right in enemy territory
another hint that confirm the Pliocene is that the Smilodon replaced the Thylacosmilus ( a marsupial-like sabre toothed lion) after the american interchange witch happened only in the pliocene and not earlier
even if the Terror birds are older and lived only in south america and the smildon came from north america

Just read Chapter 100:
The inscription looks like, maybe
Miina Isurugi
Rest <something> in Peace

I'm reading 101 by Death Toll, they'll be competing against Dragon & Fly.
From what they've told us, it looks like it's a more diverse "Jurassic Park"

About the inscription, I'm 99% sure that it's "requiescat in pace" which is almost "requiescat in in pacem" which in latin means "rest in peace" and it's commonly written on tombstones.
I guess that people familiar with latin alphabet languages got a bit of spoiler from that tower/tombstone, at least, I immediately read the name of the girl from the tower and found the subsequent pages a bit silly.

I knew it immediately when I saw it.
But only cause I love Assassin's Creed and it was said each time after his important assassinations.

I think in one of the chapters it should that it was not the sea but a small lake only when they saw the landscape from up the mountain

Can't be the past cause of the supercomputer.
I think it may very well be the future or something. Miina's grandfather, being the extremely rich and supposedly doting person he is, built an artificial island as a grave site for where his granddaughter disappeared. The supercomputer was built to run simulations as to where the plane would end up(somehow). And the other building that was remarked to look like a runway, maybe that was where it was supposed to land but something happened along the way.
The pyramid I'm guessing houses the grandfather. If not then I'm extremely curious as to what is exactly in that structure. But given what pyramids used to have in them. Then I don't think it's farfetched to think he would being an entire pyramid for his body.
Maybe he didn't think she would reappear. Maybe he built that shrine cause that's where she disappeared. He built the pyramid cause he wanted his body to rest where she disappeared from the world as well. The runway was there so people could get on and off the island. And the supercomputer was... I don't know.. Used for flight trajectories or maybe environmental simulations and how all of the extinct creatures would react/evolve within that situation.. Not sure about that one within this scenario. I think this one might be slightly more likely though.

I know that most have forgetten but in the first chapter it's showed that there was some kindof spatio/temporal distortion so the time travel hypothesis isn't excluded yet (in this fiction)

from chap109 I changed my view on the where and when of the story
the commemorative stone, the pyramids and the buried runaway suggest that this is happening in a far distant future (1century or more)
and the tower show that it was used for genetically engineering animals
so wonder if they ever find the plane if it will be in a state of flying and if ever they would leave the island if they can find a place to call home or even some suriving human beings in other continent
maybe it's time to build a country like Sangoku said
