Gimp, Python, or Imagemagick would probably work.

Something Manga related:
What does 'False Shonen-ai' means? Does that means crossdresser or something, seeing it was in 1/2 Prince and 07-Ghost category? And also -
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Can you please tell me what does the 'shonen-ai subplot' for 07-Ghost means? I mean is it used for main character? I dont read shonen-ai,so it would be helpfull..

Thanks.

I'm pretty sure it means that a male develops feelings for a female, while believing she is male.

Looking at the mangas in the category, it looks like there are multiple ways to looking at it.

"gender-benders" in which one of the characters thinks he may be gay (and all the internal conflicts that come with that) but he is actually in love with a girl...or it may look like that kind of relationship to other people

"brotherly-love" (assuming for both 07-ghost and illegenes) in which the character actions can be interpreted as shounen-ai or easily seen as just...good friends lol
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Shounen-ai subplot for 07-ghost (imo) refers to how close Teito and Frau (perhaps Mikage...can argue about Ayanami's obsessiveness too) are to each other. Though overtly Teito and Ouka seem like an obvious (heterosexual) couple, Teito and Frau can also be seen as a couple due to their close relationship...willing to go out the way to save one another...somewhat obsessed with each other...etc.
One way to look at it is to think of 07-ghost as a typical shoujo with Teito as the lead "girl." Suddenly, there are all these potential couples and interactions have more meanings than just "friends" xD
The couple relationship isn't blatant. There are signs signalling that there may potentially be more to the relationship, but it isn't something where the character will just flat out say "I love you"

You could probably do it with Photoshop through custom actions? Not too sure though
Photoshop is fancy so it can probably do it, but Photoshop costs money.

Gimp, Python, or Imagemagick would probably work.
I'm sure it's possible to write a script to do it with those, but I don't know much programming and I've never written scripts for any of those before. I was hoping for something premade...

Can't do premade, but google pulls up solutions:
http://nali.org/imagemagick-batch-crop-and-rename-files/

and there's a GUI based gimp way to do it: http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/use-gimp-to-batch-edit-your-imag es-windows-specific-instructions/

I want to crop several dozen images about 700 pixels from the right side (in other words, to chop off most of the right side of each image), but I don't want to do them all individually. Does anyone know of a free batch cropping program that will let me do this?

I have found several batch cropping ...

Maybe irfan view or fast stone image resizer?
They have the option to set the placement of the upper left corner of the frame along with the height and width. If you make the corner (0,0) and put the height at the maximum you need, I think you can avoid cutting out all but the right side of your images.

For those who grew up in China, did you have to memorize all the history of China at school? All those thousands of years worth of history?

Does anyone know if Matlab works ok on ubuntu? confused It does (but not on the latest ubuntu release) according to Mathworks, and also according to help.ubuntu.com,
but I also read on blogs here and there that it freezes and crashes and overall creates problems sometimes/often.
So I wanted to know if someone here has first-hand experience on this smile

A very random question.

Could someone who does not live in Poland go on the depechemode.com website and tell me what's written in the picture under the text "#depecehmode2013"? I'm asking because I can see "warsaw" and the date of the concert in Warsaw and I'm wondering if it looks the same everywhere in the world or just to me because I live in Poland.

(obligatory comment about using Python/octave, do you really need matlab?). There's a linux flavor of matlab running on a machine in the lab and it seems to work well enough the few most of the time.

I have a question, if you couldn't care about anything no matter how hard you try, if you can't understand love and most people think you are cold, if you were to feel like if you put a mask on just to be able to look at people on the face with out feeling out of place, if whenever you show yourself people call you crazy and when you ask for help they tell you are sick and drug you with some shit that in the end didn't even help, what would you do?

Hardcore mode, you are also bored of everything and don't even understand why you bother waking up.

I went to the counseling center at school and saw the very awesome therapist for a few months and it got better...
