erkk...ugly ichigo's sword...considering that I read one piece and bleach back to back...it feels like some mermaid part stuck on zoro's sword.

Actually it reminded me of Usopp sword...if only it wasnt made for laughs sad and damm that name was cool embarrassed

What I don't get is, Ginjo was a former substitute shinigami and his bankai is about the same size as Ichigo's, and Ichigo came after Ginjo as a shinigami...But if you think back to the SS Arc, when Ichigo first used his bankai Byakuya was completely surprised and said that it was impossible for anyone to have such a small bankai, but if Ginjo came before Ichigo then Byakuya should probably have seen Ginjo's Bankai which is almost as small as Ichigo's....Maybe I'm just thinking too much into it >>

It is also possible that Ginjo came before Byakuya. Or Tite accidentaly made another plothole, small as it is.

Ginjo uses Ichigos power, his bankai and technics too, mixed whit everything he stole so far, that form is not his own.

Geez, transformations left and right. Goody.

So how many more different forms do we have to see for Ichigo because this chapter alone had three (the power ranger form, slightly new design shikai, and now new bankai form) different transformations now. Looking forward to one more for this arc that goes beyond bankai. Oh boy.

And is it just me or did Tite totally steal the new bankai form design from Byakuren of Touhou.

Yeah...not really into the new bankai. Ichigo has the same cloak, but now he has that stupid collar and X's all over. And the sword! Ichigo doesn't really stab people often enough for the new serration to play a role...it's always just getsuga tenshou for everything. I would like to see a chain on the sword though. Hollow Ichigo always uses it in his inner battles, but Ichigo has never tried it out.

Now, I'm just waiting to see what his new hollow mask will look like...Tite can't screw everything up, can he?

And, what is the deal with Ginjo and all of these power ups? He can already do everything that Ichigo does, so why even fight? He's going to be stronger than Aizen by the end of this battle. Then Ichigo will lose his powers again, then we will meet a new guy who really wants to help Ichigo gain a new power, then end up taking it away from him, and it keeps going...

Anybody else remember the 90's comics when everything had to have a utility pouch because it supposedly made it cooler. Yeah, crosses don't work either. roll eyes

If i had to guess, I would say his hollow mask will be the horned one that he turned into as a hollow....

So Ginjos name didn't come up even once in the entire Bleach Manga until now? Really?

Why even hide it? It served no purpose.

Why would they mention it at all? In what context would that conversation come up?

"As part-time Shinigami, and a trusted person who helped save our dimension, there are a few things you should know about some people in your town. This guy, Ginjo? Yeah, he also held this position, but you should be wary of him."

Boom, done. Why would they mention it? Hrm, because he is a threat? Because Ichigo SHOULD have earned some trust by now, because it is half-way decent, and BECAUSE it would show some sort of forward thinking on the authors part.

Or, how about: "Here is this badge <details>. So you know, another person held this once and he turned on us, his name was Ginjo.. you can tell him apart from others because he has freaky eyebrows and a horses face that looks sort of like Aizen, but stretched. But yeah, he can also do Bankai, which before you got it was a very rare thing but now we discover EVERYONE can do it. Anyways, yeah, be careful of this guy."

No one "hid" his existence from Ichigo or from the reader. Tite just made him up a few chapters ago, that's all. He wasn't part of the past until then.

Maybe during or after the fight, we will hear a little bit more about him or something.

Except that would have introduced this current arc very prematurely?
Furthermore, correct me if I'm wrong, but the exact time in which Ginjo was a substitute shinigami has not been made clear. For all we know, it could have been decades ago, so why would there be a need to bring up ancient history?

I think the point everyone is trying to make is that this manga is so DBZ-like.

Most powerful being in the galaxy -> universe -> androids -> cell -> other random badass guys who is more powerful.

Well if you take into account that all the fullbring users are human, Ginjo couldn't have been a shinigami too long ago. Like Ichigo his powers were most likely awakened when he was still a living human. And the only one that is immortal for sure in Bleach is Aizen, so unless Ginjo is stronger than Aizen it wouldn't have made much sense to hide his existence for so long (well strictly speaking for the story...I can understand why revealing it early would effect the arc.).
